InnoveraFabric-Covered Gel Keyboard Wrist Rest, 19 x 2.87, Black

This 19.25" gel keyboard wrist rest feels great and has an awesome non-skid back that keeps it in place. The original keyboard foam rest for the Banana Board keyboard tray I use has pegs on the bottom to keep it in place and new replacements of that brand are $60+. I wanted a less expensive replacement that was wide enough to cover the 10-key pad and would stay in position without further modification. This Innovera keyboard wrist rest is it!.UPDATE: 20 May 2016 -I ordered the 3M 19" pad for comparison before I commit to buying 20+ sets and I prefer it over this Innovera because the 3M pad has a leatherette cover and is much easier to clean. I gave it a 5 start review, too. I am leaving the 5-star review for Innovera as it is still a good option. I can smell the Innovera if I get up close but not the 3M. Order one of each and try for yourself. We will be buying the 3M keyboard and mouse replacements pads with leatherette finish as replacements in our ofifces. They are gorgeous with a great feel and awesome cover! BTW, the 3M stays in position just like the Innovera.

Good:long enough to span my 1980's-era IBM Model M keyboardsurface feels nice enoughcushion feels niceNeutral:After a week or so, I can see where my hands rest because the fabric lightens up. This could be a benefit if you're trying to measure where you usually rest your hands in relation to your keyboard. Otherwise, some may penalize it for the cosmetic factor.Mildly negative:The grippy material on the bottom stinks when this is brand new. I call this a "mild" negative only because the entire bottom contacts my desk and gets little to no air circulation, so I don't smell it after that first week or two. If you're sensitive to plastic or rubber smells but cannot ensure that the bottom gets no contact with air, you might not want this wrist rest.For me, this wrist rest works well, and I like it.

I frequently code 9+ hours a day and I have been searching for the perfect replacement to the Belkin wrist rest I had long ago. I just assumed Belkin would be the way to go again but I was unable to find it! After trying a few others that were quite under par I decided to try this Innoverareg brand. What a great surprise; this was _that_ perfect wrist rest! It's cool to the touch with just the right amount of gentle/soft support. It's extra long/wide to cover the entire keyboard and number pad area and extra deep so that it supports my entire wrist. (Other more narrow products put pressure on my wrist joints.) Yes there is a chemical smell that is most noticeable when the product is new. However, I now only notice it if/when I lay my head down to take a mental break (Bonus: It's comfortable as a pillow also.) Anyway, I plan to buy another one of these for my home setup. I highly recommend it. :)

I work 10 hour shifts at a desk all day long and I couldn't imagine what my poor wrists would feel like without this. Very comfy and the bottom is sort of rubbery so it doesn't slide around. I've spilled coffee on it a couple times so I just rinsed it in the sink and let it dry out. I thought for sure this would ruin it, but it still looks like new.

This gel pad is the perfect length, width & height to comfortably support your wrists at the keyboard. I bought a board without the 10-key pad so my mouse isn't stuck out so far, and this wrist rest is long enough to provide support for both the keyboard AND the mouse areas. It never skids, and the rubbery smell lasted only minutes after letting it out of the box. Great, addition to my work station!

This works great at my desk..of course I would like something more thicker and perhaps some shape but it works.Iam on my computer at work for 9 hours a day.Just wish they had more options to a keyboard rest.

I got it forever ago but it still smells like it got out of the box. Not pleasant but it works great! So long as you don't mind the smell.

I bought this last summer because it was the only wrist rest that was similar to the one I was using for many years. As others have said, the smell was awful when I opened the package. I left it in the garage to air out for about 6 weeks. After less than a year of use I can feel the gel (foam?) beginning to disintegrate. I am extremely disappointed with this product.
