Wera Joker 4pc Metric Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set

This wrench set met my high expectations. The set is beautifully finished and performs admirably but the tools look different from what is shown on the primary picture of the set in the pouch. The actual wrenches that I got look exactly like the additional picture that shows the 30 degree movement of the mechanism. I have used them for a couple of small jobs and they feel terrific. I highly recommend Wera tools. I have owned a socket set from Wera for the last three years and now I'm trying to replace my old and ready to retire tools with Wera tools when I can.

Leave it to the Germans to perfect what on the surface is a simple tool! The shape and grip is comfortable, the ratchet precise, smooth and requires very short swing. The open jaw is where it really shines with a built in grip plate that helps prevent slipping on the head of a bolt as well as the ability to capture a nut. I use tools professionally and recommend these wrenches whole heartedly. My only wish is that I could get more sizes...

I purchased these for an older Porsche I was restoring and they are great wrenches! However, with cars that are several decades old... we all know how some bolts or nuts can just be "frozen" or stuck on and they're going to take a bit of convincing to remove. I think the characteristics of the ratcheting mechanism that make them unique would break first. For this project I ended up used old fashioned steel ratchets, breaker bars, hammers, my feet, etc. These do work GREAT on a new Porsche that I have where bolts haven't seized up yet and they perform fantastically and get a good bite on the heads. I would purchase them again!

You have to make something spectacular in order to beat these!

If you like quality tools, these fit the bill. The wrenches are well made and finished. Wera appears to have moved much of their manufacturing to the Czech Republic. Quality is head and shoulders above the Chinese crap down at your hardware store.
