Tone
I like the tone the strings produce. I wasn’t sure what guitar to put them on. they ended up on a semi hollow body. Had to adjust truss rod and bridge. Now that they’ve been on a month I had to readjust truss rod. The action is smooth and tone-is robust and full. When I play Wes Montgomery tunes the is inspirational and Wes was my menter at the age of 11. I highly recommend them. A little expensive but supposed to last a long time

I love TI strings, but these arrived in open packaging.
Thomastik Infeld are my goto strings, and I have been using them, including the Bebops, for decades. I just had the same experience as another reviewer, paul moore: My BB114s arrived in packaging that had been cut open at the top and taped back together in the middle. In probably over 20 years of playing TIs, I have never seen TI strings come in this sort of packaging.I tried to pick the rating that would best serve the Amazon community. On the one hand, I love TI strings. On the other hand, customers need to know that something is wrong here. Maybe three stars is wrong, but it seemed best and fairest to me.

Strings full of tone.
Best strings for jazz guitar i have come across. I use these round wounds on my Archtops, as they seem to be more responsive, and give a brighter sound than the flats, and the 014 gage for max tone, (I'd use a heavier gage if I could find them). Sometimes, when playing rhythm/Big Band I will swap out the lower string (.055), for a lighter gage, but others might vary the bass emphasis by adjusting the arc of the pick stroke...Update. Thomastik do make a .015 gage plain steel string, and on up, (all strings sold individually or in sets), available from "Just Strings.Com"

Nope
They were horrible. I an a 100% to tomastic bebop bb112 fan but these were terrible. I am suspicious that they were fake. The packaging was very suspiciius. Taken off after 2 weeks

My favorite strings, but the G string breaks down too fast
I guess the winding on the G is too thin, because I've had two sets where the winding breaks, and feels annoying under your finger. Around 4-5 months in. I play less than a lot of other folks do, and if you're the type who likes to change your strings more often than that, then I'd say for sure get them. It's frustrating for me because I LOVE these things, but too pricey to keep replacing.

Strings a notch above the rest
Best guitars strings for playing jazz on a archtop. Big woody sound and last long.
