Very good adapter with high performance and supported features. I was disappointed when the NIC arrived (it was listed as new) and it came not in a box but wrapped in bubble wrap. The Sticker on the static bag to show it had not been opened was opened. The photo used to describe this item shows a heatsink. The NIC i received does not have it. Just the bare chip exposed. I am hoping that on install (Will be installing it today) that it will be OK. Now I have to by a Heatsink and to Paste tape to hold it on with and for cooling. This should have been mentioned in the description that there was not heatsink. Maybe this item was new maybe not. Maybe it was a oem pull? I just hope it works. Buying a heatsink and paste is cheap, but the description should have stated this.For this reason I am not happy with this seller.

As mentioned by others, the NIC did not come with a heatsink. I emailed the seller and received a prompt reply clarifying that this dual port model as manufactured by Intel does not have a heatsink. I was referred to the following link: [...]The card works well, as expected. If I needed more ports, I would purchase this NIC again.

Very low price for this older card. Mine came with a heat sink. Apparently some do and some don't. It is an 82576 controller. Works fine for Linux using the igb driver. Supports receive side scaling with enough queues for my 8 core system. Supports SR-IOV. It all works fine right out of the box on Linux, Fedora 23.

Item works but mine also did not come with a heatsink. I borrowed the heatsink and heatsink clip from another Intel card I was not using at the time. Giving 4 stars because I'm pleased with the price I paid at the time and my results so far, but item picture misleading.

This is a very nice adapter. Use it for a linux router/firewall. Very quick and all modern linux distros have the e1000 driver out of the box so it just goes.

Been running this for around a year non stop and haven't had any issues. Great speeds. Its in a Dell T110 II.

Great product, great price, and it worked perfectly in my Pfsense build set up as a LACP trunk with VLAN tagged sub-interfaces in a LAG.
