Used this on a kitchen tap (with instant hot water) which was sent with an EU plug. Reassuringly sturdy build quality and the tap works perfectly so no complaints for the price, it does the job and does it well.

This plug has earthing contacts (those metal prong like things), some two pin European circular plugs have earthing strips on the sides, hence do use a plug like this - see other reviewers' photos. Don't use an ordinary 2 pin adaptor without earthing contacts for high wattage devices which usually come with the correct 2 pin earthed strips- why? In case of electrocution, the earthing metal contacts in some 2 pin plugs are designed to transmit the current safely AWAY from the device through a plug like this one into the outside. Could save your life. So I'm happy with the design of this plug and this is also robust. I use it with a European coffee machine.

I bought a coffee filter from Amazon but it had the German 2 pin plug. To save changing the plug I bought this thin and it is ideal. No messing about finding a plug, cutting off the old one and so on. Nope. Plug this thing in, then the coffee filter and hmmm. A nice mug of fresh filtered, aromatic coffee.

After reading a couple of horror stories left by reviewers of other adaptors, I spend some time trying to identify a good quality one. This one is marked with a British Standard (BS 8546 is specifically for travel adaptors - who knew such a thing existed?), which is reassuring. I bought it for a product that came fitted with a European plug and the adaptor fits it perfectly, so I am happy with it.

I bought this for my oral b toothbrush to convert it to a UK plug and it did not fit at all. The plug itself is too wide and could not be fitted onto the original oral b 2 socket plug.
