Great product. Used by volleyball and football coach. Lots of colors to choose from (great for coaches who work at schools) Very loud and perfect for the football field. Comfortable and lightweight. Appreciated it came in a set of 3. Great value for the money. Have had for two years now.

This is a great Whistle. The size, bright color, and mouth guard are perfect. It's not as loud as advertised (120 DB) but it's definitely loud (110 DB "A", "C" or "Flat" weighted at 3 ft). It takes a small bit of effort to get it to sound at all, but it doesn't take too much more effort to hit 110 DB. Very happy.

This is an awesome whistle and can be heard far away. But know that in choosing the Sonic Blast version, it’s a little larger in the mouth than the standard Fox 40 whistle. As a result, it’s not as comfortable when kept in the mouth for long periods of time as the standard version. All that said, the CMG (cushioned mouth guard) is a must.

As a referee, these are a must! The Sonic Blast is just a bit different than the regular Fx40 and the difference is noticeable. The molded teeth protector is a plus and worth the extra $. They function as expected with clear resounding burst of high frequency sound that alert the athletes of my calls or need for their attention. As a coach, these are a must to call for attention and alert for changes being made.

There is a standard meaning for how many whistle blasts you blow, but you can come up with your own whistle language too while on the trail if you are unfamiliar with any.
