Very informative booklet
This is a great little booklet and if you follow the author on you tube you can watch the video to go with the booklet and get a great short course in how to pack and use this kit concept.

Solid guidance.
This is solid guidance from the legend. Definitely worth every one of the few pennies to buy. It’s fun to put together a kit like this.

Kindle version has the price right.
Thank you for bringing this hard to find book back to the real world. Kindle version isn't worth a huge amount in the field, but no book is. But for two bucks and practicing in the backyard, you just can't go wrong with this. My only wish is that we'd had a picture of the saw blade packed- rolled up? Covered with something?

The super shelter building techniques outlined in the pamphlet should be ...
The super shelter building techniques outlined in the pamphlet should be learned by everyone. And I mean everyone. It is one of Mors Kochanski's original techniques. Kochanski is genuine expert on survival and his various teachings have been widely copied by others. You owe it to yourself to buy this manual. It just might save your life.

a real lifesaver
Mors Kochanski is the father of modern bushcrafting. His experience should be listened to and heeded. From this kit you can build what is called the super shelter that will allow you to stay comfortable no matter how cold it gets. These booklets are very good values. I have no reservations on giving my highest recommendations to any product Mors Kochanski has

Interesting take on winter sheltering
This is a different winter shelter, intended for use with daytime clothing. Little different snowshoe design, too but obviously written by a man who's been there

Skip this and go straight to anything by Ray Mears!
I was saddened at how badly this book was written and illustrated. I'm sure that Mr. Kochanski has a wealth of information that he can teach directly to people by showing them personally, but unfortunately this book (I should say pamphlet) is nearly worthless because of the poor illustrations and at times the nearly incomprehensible way things are described. While some of these reviewers are fairly accurate in their opinions about this little book I can tell that many barely even scanned it because, if you truly want to do any of these things there is too much detailed information missing, details that would make a huge difference in these projects working. And while after reading my previous words I hope you won't bother to buy this little pamphlet, I have to tell you that this has nothing to do with creating a 2 kg survival "kit".... There is nothing in it other than basic notes for making the super shelter, a pair of snow shoes, a buck-saw and a pack frame. Not even some kind of materials list for what you would need to take with you into the backcountry to build these things.Again, I have no doubt that if the author was sitting next to you helping you do these things, he could give you invaluable detailed information, but frankly the idea that these "books" pass on enough usable information and in enough detail to actually do these things with any level of competency is almost laughable. At best they may give you a few ideas if you're already a moderate to experienced bushcrafter or camper.Save yourself a huge amount of time and aggravation by going straight to the YouTube videos and books by Ray Mears. He offers FAR more information that is comprehensible and usable (and therefore more likely to save your life or make your wilderness experience far richer and self-reliant.)... you'll be glad you did.
