Could be a life saver
It may be hyperbole to say it’s a life saver but, if it decreases the amount of dust trades people breath on the job, it could be. I got it for lots of long rips on a big job installing cement fiber board and it eliminates a huge amount of dust when connected to a vacuum. Not 100% but a lot. At this point, I won’t work on cement products without it.

not adaptable
Did not use. Bought this totally depending on the reviews and hope it works. So I was disappointed that it has just one adapter "soft swivel" that does not fit with hose kit I bought. Centech. It looks excellent on its own but doesn't work well with this dust collector. I checked the item description for any hose recommendation, if the photo hose is mentioned, but no help. Return. Expensive and am I supposed to duct tape this?

I highly recommend this as an alternative to choking to death on a cloud of concrete dust!
This is a cleverly designed device that I only wish I had sooner. I have it on my worm-drive skill saw, connected to my Dustopper unit then onto my Rigid shop vac for a virtually dust-free cut. I highly recommend this as an alternative to choking to death on a cloud of concrete dust. This is a no-brainer.

Excellent product !
This is the best product on the market for a worm drive saw that I know of. As Siding contractors we own and use several of these constantly. Most of our work is with fiber-cement products, on commercial and multi- family projects that have strict safety regulations. These meet all of the new OSHA silica dust rules. This greatly reduces dust pollution in the cut station. I highly recommend this product.

Great dust buster tool but needs to be reversable
Used this with circular saw to cut 3cm granite in a kitchen. Using a clamped down guide, it took about 4 passes to cleanly cut thru. Covered the area with plastic overhead to the floor, vented the vacuum hose out a window with an extension, barely had any dust escape into the kitchen area. It's a great tool, but needs to be reversible for different directions of cuts, different sides the saw blades are on (L vs. R). I retro fitted it and it worked well.

Works well!!
Oh yeah, this baby definitely cuts down on the dust!!! We were remodeling a hotel and putting up solid surrounds. We were able to cut in the rooms without choking on the dust. I thought about a special saw, but this enables me to keep using my current DEWALT!!!

Skip it
I bought to use cutting pavers. Several problems became readily apparent. 1. Depth of cut: the foot plate is so thick that I can’t cut a paver in one pass. This means I have to flip them over and try to match the cuts. That’s hard to get just right. No big deal so far, when I can hide those edges, but not good for the rest of my patio. With a 7” concrete blade the depth of cut measures 1.25 inches, which with a wood blade might just barely be enough to cut a 2 x 4. 2. The whole foot seems to lose 90 degrees, and be slightly off. 3. The vacuum hose attaches horizontally, flush with the bottom. This means that the hose can snag on the edge of the paver, and detach. Wouldn’t be an issue if you were cutting lines in concrete slab 4. Dust collection is decent. If you go really slow. If you go at any pace, dust escapes. I tried setting up a second vacuum, but that would need something like a built up cutting box. Overall, a purchase I regret for this project. If all you were doing was cutting lines in concrete, where depth was no matter, this might work great.

Good product
I really Like the easy glide and usage. But cannot use a guide bar once unit is installed because it sits too high and the strap goes right across the guide bar screw
