works great - can't ask for much more
Used these to replace the upper shock mounts on my 2003 Tahoe (2WD). The shape is a little different than OE, but it takes the slack out of the mount exactly the same. Inexpensive, works great - can't ask for much more. Take these with you to the auto parts stores, btw, to verify the shocks that you buy will fit - first 4 tries at AutoZone (and 1 pair from Amazon) didn't fit properly. Having these on hand when you purchase is a quick and easy check to make sure the upper shock will properly mount to your vehicle.

These fit perfect and went on with ease in about 10 minutes. My truck was riding so bad that running over a rock felt like a speed bump. I started to replace the shocks but noticed I didn't have any bushings at all on the top of the shocks. I installed these and now my truck rides like a Cadillac. Hit railroad tracks at 55 and barely notice it. Before everything would fly off my dash and change would fly out the ashtray. I'm very impressed with how much this little bit of rubber makes a big difference.

A needed and well made item
If you're changing shocks that use a stud style top on a GMC or Chevy you need these bushings. Most manufacturers of shocks throw in really cheaply made ones and they'll go bad very quick and start making noise. These are even better than the OEM ones and at this price point you be crazy not to order these when you replace your shocks trust me I made that mistake it wasn't worth it. They're well made heavy duty washers and the rubber looks almost indestructible.

Good stuff!
These are the way to go if replacing front shocks on a 2500 Suburban (or any Suburban) as they are much heavier duty than the kit supplied w/shocks. Worth the expense.

Did not work as described
I bought this item to replace the lower bushing on the front shock absorber of a Chevy Tahoe. It is supposed to slip over the shaft and provide better support to hold the shaft in place so as to reduce or eliminate the shaft "squeaking" on the upper mount. I suppose it would work if It was possible to install it. Unfortunately, in my application the inside diameter of the bushing was smaller than the outside diameter of the shock absorber shaft. So I could not install it. This all could have been avoided if the manufacturer would post the functional dimensions of the product in the advertisement. Good concept, epic fail in function.
