These home pregnancy tests are designed to be used as early as several days before your missed period. They are accurate at a sensitivity of a minimum 20 mIU/ml; most drugstore tests are accurate from 25 MIUI and up. Your first morning urine will generally have the highest concentration of HCG (the pregnancy hormone) for earliest detection, but this test may be used anytime. To get the best results, hold the sensor tip of the pregnancy test in your urine stream for just 5 seconds. If you prefer, you may also pee in a cup and dip the sensor tip in urine for 5 seconds instead. Replace the cap and lay on a flat surface. Read the results in 1 minute, but not after 5 minutes. The test has a control line that will appear if the test receives enough urine. If you get a negative test result but still believe you may be pregnant, wait 2 days and test again. Please keep in mind that because this test is so sensitive, it may detect extremely early pregnancies, including chemical pregnancies.
