MAHLE OC 619 Oil Filter

Mahle makes many of BMW's OEM parts and this is a Non-Branded version that is significantly cheaper. Works great and with the cheaper price I change the filter more often. Just did a Valve Inspection at 44,000 miles the other day and cam lobes look almost good as new so the filters are...filtering. Fits the oil filter wrench perfectly so no issues getting them on and off.

This is my second time buying this Mahle Filter. I did some research and it is exactly what I needed to replace the BMW OEM for my 2014 R1200RT. I've read from BMW club groups that Mahle makes the BMW OEM filter which makes sense considering where the companies are both based out of. Delivery was fast and efficient so I was able to do my own oil change. I also buy my oil from Amazon so there's no need to drive to a store across town.

This is the replacement filter I use of my BMW R1200RT. I do believe it is the filter some dealers use for oil changes. I have never had a problem with the filter & will continue to buy them in the future.

Barely fits and you might have to just loosen your shifter hinge bolt a few turns to get the old one off and this one on. OH! By the way, I had to get this as I tried to get the HIFLOFILBER HF160RC I bought from Bezos to get "up in there" and there' no freakin' way. So, from now on it'll be the MAHLE for my K13.

Why pay $20+ for the 'BMW-branded' oil filter when Mahle makes the filters for the Mothership? If you ride a 2014+ water-cooled R1200, GS, GSA, this is the exact same filter at half the price. I ordered it on Wednesday and it was at my house on Friday. Can't beat that!

This is the filter I use for my GS. It's the only filter I have ever had that left the seal behind when I took it off the bike. So they could do a better job with attaching the seal to the filter. It was only hanging on the bike by the oil, so really the canister side just let go. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, as no oil leaked, the seal was easy to take off the bike surface and ultimately I would buy the filter again. Just watch out for this when you change your oil as you don't want two rubber seals in the mix when you screw the next filter into position.

I just finished using this to replace my stock oil filter on my R1250 RT, and this filter fit fine. On a video review, I saw a filter came with the crush washer, which this does not, and that would be slick.. though I'm not sure how the filter manufacturer can be certain what size crush washer you need.. makes me wonder if the video mis-spoke. It does, of course, come with the gasket needed for it's seal. This filter is the same profile as my original factory filter, and sealed fine.. besides that, any quality difference between filters is pretty challenging to identify absent of catastrophic failure ;-)

Mahle supplies BMW with the same part. Buying from Amazon is a great saving compared with the dealer. I use them on all R1200/R1250 and S1000XR. Pro tip: buy a removal tool - not expensive and makes life very easy.
