Works well, very convenient, louder than advertised
This very small unit works well to reduce the humidity in about a 350 sq ft part of my house. It's not going to get the humidity down from 80% to 50%, but it'll get it to 70% and pull about 400 ml (1.75 cups) of water from the air in a day. I could wait about five days between emptying its bucket, but the bucket is easy and convenient to dump out, so I do that daily. The UV feature is quite nice, as I don't want mildew growing in my office. This unit really is small enough to hang on the wall and comes with a nice wall bracket. It also uses very little electricity, especially for a dehumidifier. However, the description claimed it would run at about 40 dB, and there's no way -- it's more like 55-60 dB. You don't quite have to raise your voice to talk if you're standing near it, but for me it'd be too loud to have in the bedroom at night. Fine for an office. It doesn't scare the cats, or anything.Still, I'm also not sure why it's so loud. It uses an 80 mm fan like you'd find in a computer case. Possibly my unit is louder than most, but it's not a dealbreaker in any case. The manual could be better, and it could be quieter. But for the price, it's terrific, and I may buy a second one for my laundry room.UPDATE: We now have two, and we've had plenty of time to evaluate them. They work well, and we're happy with the purchase. That said:- They really ought to have intake filters. Simple washable ones like you find on most dehumidifiers and window air conditioners would be fine. You could rig your own.- They reset to 20% humidity (which really just means running constantly, in most homes) anytime they're turned off, etc. If you really want 50% or 60% humidity, keep an eye on them.- One of ours occasionally ices up on the front, due to not enough air movement. The amount of air passing over the cold side of the heat sink is far less than the amount passing over the hot side, and sometimes it's a minor issue. Just glancing at the unit will tell you -- if the front looks wet at all, turn it off until the ice melts (and drips into the containment tank), which usually doesn't take long. But this isn't a frequent problem. All in all, still an impressive product for the money. Both units run at about the same noise level, and I still think they could easily be made quieter, but we got used to them very quickly.

not really sure what to think yet ...
... so far so good it seems. we have one room in our home that is especially damp. this little guy seems to suck that moisture right up but how do i know if it is getting all it should? we get a little less than a cup a day. easy to use. easy to empty and clean. my daughter really likes. this particular model is for small rooms up to a little less than 3oo square feet, i believe. if a room is too large it simply won't work. we have been using it for 2 weeks so far. it is NOT quiet by ANY means! saying that it is constitutes false advertising in my opinion. as far as registering a warranty, the link is completely foreign/asian language. can not read it. no way to communicate unless you speak/know whatever language that is. so that makes me VERY suspicious. the manual gives you a contact but it is NOT related at all! again...suspicious! :( so i don't really know what is going on here.

Quiet and reliable
This unit pulls humidity out of the air fast. The 2 quart collection container fills up about every 10 days or so. Keeps mold off the clothes in my closet.Update: I bought 4 of these and they work well when they work. But within a few months, two of them stopped working. It turns out that the power-converter plug (the one that converts 110V current to 12V overheats and stops working. It's impossible to replace because it has a proprietary plug (not the standard barrel plug) so the unit becomes unusable. The supposed 1-year warranty is useless--they don't answer their emails and there no other way to contact them. Amazon finally gave me a refund, even though it was way past the return period, but it took a lot of complaining. I've downgraded from 5 stars to 3 because two of the units still work, but I think this is a serious risk so I would really avoid buying it.

Very loud!
We are using this unit in our upstairs bathroom. It does reduce the humidity, but not as much as we had hoped. I still think my biggest complaint is the loudness of the fan. Reviewers said it was quiet enough to use in a bedroom. If their unit is as loud as ours, then they must be able to sleep through a hurricane! Perhaps our unit is the odd ball, because this unit is so noisy, you can barely hear a person talking over it. I mean, it is LOUD!!! As we are not using it in a room where we are sleeping, we did not return it, but this machine, for a mini, is louder than both our AC units., our window fans and our large 70 pint dehumidifier that we use in our cellar.

Cute
The single word sums up my review. I bought it for a class C motor coach which resides in north Florida. Having said this I had to purchase another unit after three days and about three cups of liquid [emptied] I realize it cannot do the job for which I purchased it which was formerly occupied by a 70 pint Hisense. Nevertheless it is quiet enough to use when I take the coach on the road so I mounted it with double faced tape {cute} near a 110 Volt outlet. I'm not sure anyone south of the Mason Dixon has much use for it aside from a night light but it is cute.

It's okay
My room is crazy small. Like I have a single and not a double bed type small so I can have floor space. A full-size dehumidifier makes zero sense. Sadly this one works but it's still not quite strong enough for my small room. With the fan on it does a better job but the humidity is stupid high here and I've been using it for days and it's not even half full yet. Too bad cause it's the perfect size. The noise is softer than my actual fan. Just not as powerful as I'd hoped considering the size of my room.
