Great card reader- worked perfectly for our school auction. Plugged into my laptop and used with Auctria.

I'm assuming mine has a defect because the cards will not slide straight through. There's a trough in the bottom that the leading corner of the cards inevitably fall into. You can't put any pressure on the cards and have to swipe your hand in a particular way. I wanted to use these where multiple people would be swiping their own cards and there's just no way to show people how to do it easily.

It’s USB keyboard mode magnetic card reader. Installation is easy to plug it in. Windows or Mac detects it as a keyboard input device and you can start scanning right away. We use it at our merchat store everyday. And its reading speed made us satisfield without reading faulty like other cheap item, this one is very STABLE!!!Should be fine for a POS terminal or any card reading application.
