Dayco 89006 Tensioner & Idler Pulley

2010 explorer xlt 4.0. Excellent

Had something squealing occasionally and figured it was a bearing. Bought both bearings for idler/tensioner just in case. When I removed my belt I spun all my bearings and found my squeaker. Removed old one and could tell that the inner part of bearing was trying to spin on the bolt and would have locked up very soon. That causes the belt to break or get damaged and you’re stranded cause it’ll overheat and will not charge your battery. Have been there before! Used 9/16 socket for this idler bolt and 5/8 socket for the other idler/tensioner. Easy fix.

Fits 2020 Ford E450 6.8l v10 perfectly to fix the squeaking belt issue. Why not included stock, no idea.They must have removed it due to cost, but belt squeaks at 2100rpm from slipping alternator with out this pulley. Most of the other v10's have it, not sure why the 6.8 doesn't.

89006 is listed @ both Dayco & Amazon to be correct for 2004 Chevy SSR 5.3 LS V8 convertible pickup ....... the 89006 that arrived is same O.D. & bearing bore is correct ... however the offset is different .... I have a good selection of washers & was able to use it . The listings showed this Dayco 89006 to be " Made in USA " which is why I paid more & waited longer for it to arrive .... The bearing had " PRC " stamped on both sides , people's republic of china ( more china junk ) Two others I bought @ Amazon for this 2004 5.3 LS V8 are : " AC Delco " # 36169 & " AC Delco " # 38009 ....... both Made in USA & correct fit .

Loud noise disappeared, I am very happy with this part! Remember you have to use the original screw and washer!
