2251 JarKey Metal Jar Opener

This little device takes a different approach to the usual lid remover gadget - you put it under the edge of the lid and then gently pull upwards until you hear the vacuum seal break. Then the lid can be unscrewed very easily.I have tried the rubber grip type tools (you know, the ones that look like big nut crackers) but I just found that they either didn't grip and so just slid off the lid when I tried to twist, or they just wouldn't open wide enough for larger lids (or they would open wide enough... but then my hands weren't nearly big enough to get hold round both handles). So their usefulness was limited to a very small subset of lids.So I am happy with this little gadget - a different approach and it works a treat when needed.

This is a simple tool that allows for depressurising jars with tight lids.Gently lift the side of the lid.Emphasis on gently.Jar lid will then turn much easier.This is manufactured from an aluminium alloy so it should last a long time.Note: This much more expensive than it needs to be.Most jars will open easily..........I use the Brabantia jar opener to make the opening even easier.Recommended........the only one to buy.

Working on the lever principle this device safely creates a small air gap between the metal jar lid and the glass jar body. This breaks the vaccum seal, which is reason most jars are difficult to open, and the jar lid is then easily unscrewed. Expensive for what it is on the other hand it does work extremely well and is one of these things which will last a lifetime. P.S. I'd like a stainless steel version.

Can’t believe how great this item is, no jar is a problem, my only issue is that I wish I had known about this and purchased one years ago…. I have since bought a further two for my daughters who also enjoy them.

Forget those problematical jar lids.This tool just breaks the seal enabling lid to be unscrewed.To close replace lid in usual way.

The easiest jar opener ever and I've had loads. Highly recommended
