Love
Lightweight so my arm doesn’t get tired so fast, I truly think I’m seeing less frizz, got all the basic functions, high and low power and hot and cold temp. It’s a great hairdryer.

💕 ZERO frizz! No need for a flat iron to smooth! 💕
This blow dryer is absolutely amazing! I have never been able to blowdry my hair and have it look like I have already touched it up with a flat iron. I still like to straighten out the sides of my angled bob so I look a little more styled and not so round, but that is just a preference. My hair looks perfectly smooth and finished after blow drying. In fact, I find it easier to get that nice and uniform forward swept look to my bob than with my flat iron. I just blow the ends forward and then hit it with a cool shot of air to lock it in. For reference, I have a lot of fine hair and all my old blow dryers ever would make my hair frizzy and dry, needing more smoothing/moisturizing product and flat ironing. This is the first time I have spent Moreno than $50ish on a blow dryer. I can’t wait to see my hair after it has grown out a bit more and not suffered the abuse of my old dryer and so much flat ironing!I was so impressed with this dryer that I got the baby butter cup as well from drybar’s website. I have provided pictures of the two side-by-side for comparison in case anybody was trying to decide between the two. The full size does have a smidge more power and heat as well as more controls on the handle. The baby buttercup does fold nicely for travel and is overall, slightly smaller. Baby buttercup also has a shorter cord. Both are fantastic, but I would definitely get the full size for regular use at home. Both provided me with the same quality of results, although the baby took slightly longer because it doesn’t get quite as hot. Both come with two sizes of concentrator attachments, but only the baby buttercup comes with travel bag.Side note - I’m also really impressed with their tiny tress press iron and their hair product selection. All the ones I have tried have smelled amazing!

Fantastic gift
The Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer is an absolute must-have! It’s lightweight, powerful, and dries my hair in half the time compared to other dryers I’ve used. The ionic technology leaves my hair smooth, shiny, and frizz-free, even on humid days.I purchased as a gift for my granddaughter. She loves how ergonomic and easy to handle it is, making it perfect for long drying sessions when she wants to style her hair. The multiple heat and speed settings give me total control, whether I’m aiming for a sleek look or adding volume. It feels like a professional salon experience every time she uses it. While it’s a bit of an investment, it’s worth every penny for the results it delivers. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their blow dryer!"

Motor blew out within a week -- DO NOT BUY
Long story short: The motor blew out within a week and this thing now screeches like a banshee when turned on. Doesn't work otherwise. View the videos in the other 1-star reviews and you'll see what I mean. Go for something else! PLEASE!I buy higher-end hairdryers perhaps once every few years -- I tend to spend $150-250 on a blowdryer because I know it'll last longer, it's got all the necessary attachments, and it just plainly works faster on long hair like mine. I researched blowdryers to death and settled on this one because I was familiar with the brand, liked the bright color, and felt it checked off all the boxes.Worked well the first few uses but the real test came up on a trip to Europe, where the hotel would have a blowdryer but nothing with the diffuser and wattage I really need. I packed this blowdryer and felt confident it would carry me through my elopement.Wrong.I pulled it out to use it and plugged it into the plug adaptor I'd bought special for the trip -- it started SCREAMING and throttling. A distinct burning smell permeated the air. I shut it off and somehow figured perhaps I was using the adaptor incorrectly but, nope. Everything else worked with it. I had packed the blowdryer carefully as well; I have NEVER had issues traveling with expensive blowdryers until this one so I am 1000% positive it was not a packing issue: No pieces were missing or jangling around the belly of the dryer. Nothing was chipped or broken. So confusing.I waited too long to return it because I was so hoping that if I gave it some rest from trying to use it, it would sort itself out (maybe something was caught up inside? maybe it had overheated? I don't know) so I'm fresh out of $200.Please do NOT buy this dryer. Absolute piece of garbage. Huge disappointment for a brand I saw showing itself all over Calabasas.

Drybar Buttercup
Drybar Buttercup is one of several blow dryers I recently purchased since I’m in the market for a new one. My current dryer just isn’t hot enough on the highest heat setting! Buttercup is a cheerful yellow, a nice light weight, has a 9’ cord & a powerful 1875 watt motor. There’s also a replacement filter in the box with instruction that it can be washed, too. 3 heat settings & 2 airflow settings + a cool shot button. It reached a nice temperature on the hottest heat setting, but not “burning”! I like that Drybar offers a diffuser to fit Buttercup, but it’s sold separately. Ultimately, I chose a different dryer for half the price with literally all of the same features (except for that cheerful yellow!) & it comes with both a diffuser & a concentrator nozzle in the box. This is a nice dryer, but there are comparable products at much more affordable prices out there!
