Honeywell 2-in 1 Air Circulator Fan, HT-9700

Ok, the posted pictures are from the first fan I got, which was covered in thick dust. Called customer service and they were very apologetic, sent me a return label and sent out another fan. So I returned the original fan and the next day had the new one.Now that I have a new fan, I can actually give a review. This is a fantastic fan, the only issue I had, is that the fans didn't tip forward, they only went backwards. So, I took it apart, switched stuff around and voilà, got the fan to tip forward. The reason I wanted it that way, is that it sits next to my head and blows air on me all night long. It has a nice sound to it, not too loud and not too quiet either. The amount of air volume is quite impressive, even on the low setting. Especially since I am using both fans at the same time.I am extremely happy with this purchase and extremely impressed with customer service, which did a great job getting me what I ordered.Update after 3 months: extremely satisfied with this fan! Better than any that I have had before.Another update: 1 year, 2 1/2 months- I still love this fan! Use it every night and haven't been disappointed once! Still give it 5 stars.Another update: March 3rd, 2019- Fan is still working great. I have used the bottom fan the most, it has started to make a funny noise but it isn’t bad enough to buy another fan. Top one works flawlessly, only use that one in the summer months, because it tends to blow over my body and onto my wife, making her cold. I still give this fan 5 stars!

This is the second fan I bought in a year. It is good for air circulation. The fan's angle can be adjusted, especially the bottom fan. The noise level is acceptable; at least it is better than the Honeywell turboforce fan.

I was looking for a replacement for my turbo fan that died in September 2011 and I came across this 2-in-1 fan.It looks great on paper but when I opened the box and took it out and plugged it in, I was quite surprised and disappointed. The speeds of the fans are a joke and they should be embarrased selling this product at all.I would've tried to return this fan but my box got damaged.The details of saving on energy might be correct but thats because the fans turn at a slow speed which doesn't draw to much current and cost much to operate. You can't feel the air movement if your more than 10 ft away. The 27ft claimed is misleading.The cost of the fan is to much.You can get better performance from a box fan or oscillating fan. Save yourself the hassel and money and don't by this.Happy shopping...

This fan is interesting and all, but it doesn't move a very high volume of air. I expected that it would do well since it has two separate blades with separate controls, but it's just not very powerful. Works if you don't need a very strong fan, but if you are looking for a high volume fan, unfortunately, this one falls short.

Works well... especially since we have this whole "Global Warming thing"... happening right now.I hate walking into my house and finding my cheap room-mate has (once again) killed the AC. My house was built in 1927, and has huge open beam ceilings, and this place never cools off, no matter how long the AC is on. So it's rather pointless to even bother. If it is turned on, it takes about a week for the home to cool, as some of the rooms have a cieling that's about 35 feet high.This fan is great, and I am super happy with the purchase.The only negative I have found is that per the item description, I was led to believe that both fans moved and swiveled, as I planned to take it off its base&hang it in the window for "cool air in, hot air out" use. I know they sell ones made just for that, but this one is a lot more powerful, and quieter.In the pic, only the bottom fan is the one that swivels, and it can't go past a certain direction, or I fear that I'm giong to snap it off.But, as always I found a solution. I piled one bar stool on top of the other, and now I have it easily in the correct spot in the window. It does a great job at the circulation of air, and it keeps me nice and cool at night.To me, it's super quiet, and my roomie's Varnado sounds like a Harrier Jet compared to this item, and this one moves a ton more air, and circulates air way better at 1/3 the cost of his fan, and I like pointing that out to him...because he's so cheap...yet he "blew" over 100 dollars on his Vornado... and mine is so much Better.It's been on (pretty much full time) for exactly 2 weeks straight, as I like to have it near the Tiki Hut that my Pugs sleep in it most of the day....when they are not passed out on my bed; of course.Has anyone detached this from the base, and been able to reconnect it? Just wondering, as I don't want to break it in attempting to do such.For the price...you can't go wrong with this puppy.

Horrible. I have an older version of this fan with three speeds was incredible. Yes they are loud but My wife and I wanted that, helps us sleep. this new version is too weak, speed two wasn't even as powerful as the old version. This is, sadly, a shadow of it's former greatness.

My son bought one of these fans years ago at a big box store. I looked everywhere and found it for less money on Amazon then he spent at the store. The big feature is the dual fans. You can face each fan a different direction and have it at a different speed. We use this fan to direct air conditioning into a room that doesn't have it. The fan is whisper quiet and forces the air into the room at a good rate, much better than a fan on a stand. It is very well built with heavy duty plastic and its very sturdy and no worries about it falling over. You can move it with out changing the air direction as everything stays put. We took it outside and it was great that the air could be directed up and across giving you a complete cool down. Each fan has three speeds and there is a fuse in the plug to prevent damage if you have a electrical surge. This is one of the best quality fans I have ever seen.
