Can pin badges be placed on the board securely?

Yes it takes pins, and if you attach a Velcro "hook" to the back of the Notice it also holds the Notice on the board. You get a lot of spare "eyes" if you adopt this latter method!!! Hope this helps. Ben

Would this any good for doing large Jigsaw puzzles on?

Yes. Because you can get a -Saw roll of similar material and it does the trick if you are workning on the Jig Saw and also if you want to store it for a while and go back to it later. I normally transfer by sliding a piece of card under half the jig saw and then put it on to the Roll and roll it up for another rainy day. Done 3 X 1000 piece Jig saws since March 11th!!!. Ben
