Honeywell 747 Self Contained Indoor Siren

No issues for me. It makes noise when powered as it’s supposed to.

The media could not be loaded. Edit: I contacted a security company and they told me how to hook it up, it works great and is very loud!Doesn’t come with any instructions so I have no idea how to wire it into the panel. Customer support for Honeywell is useless and I can’t find any YouTube videos on how to install it.

Nothing really wrong with this horn. It was very easy to install, replacing the one that failed. If I were to make a recomendation it would be for this unit to be just a bit smaller in width to facilitate mounting it on a 2x4 with no overhang which would make it easier to mount in walls on a stud behind an existing or newly placed vent or register, keeping it out of sight and harder to find. It was just big enough to make installation a hastle in this configuration while retaining it's original structure. As for the function, it's not ear splitting loud like the one it replaced but it is loud enough that if someone were to break the perimeter at night while we're sleeping, it would awaken me and most likely give me time to arm myself and protect the family.

I used this to setup an alarm clock upstairs to help the boys get up in the morning, kind of like a school bell, of course this is a 96db siren. This morning was it's first use, I had three happy boys on time for school!!!!

Works well, as advertised. I'd previously bought a "clone" model made by a different manufacturer that stopped working after a few months. The "real" Honeywell unit works much better; wish I'd bought this one in the first place.

Seems like they trough the unit a box and one sheet of instruction. that is all. Looked like old used unit.

Never bothered to set it up since it didn't match, but it seems pretty easy to setup.

Ordered this siren as a replacement for my mom. Here system is older and the people at ADT wanted a small fortune to come out and replace it. Wiring was simple and installation was a snap.
