Excellent product quality and customer care experience
Initially, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the extra money to purchase this product compared to some of the competition's lower pricing. I am very pleased to say that the quality of the product and the customer care experience make the money you spend worth it.Some of you might be worrying about the 3M tape easily coming off or being pulled apart. That is not the case at all. I forgot to tell my wife that I had installed these on some of our drawers and when she couldn't get in to her morning coffee she sat on the floor, placed both feet on either side of the drawer and had to yank with all of her might in order to get the drawer to open. As I walked down the hallway I heard a good 10 to 15 seconds of struggling and grunting before the tape finally gave way ... and it had only been installed the night before so the tape had not really had time to fully dry and stick to the wood (as stated in the instructions it takes 24 hours to fully stick). Thankfully the kit came with an extra piece of tape so we were able to put the cabinet lock back on. If a full-grown adult has to put all of their body weight against the cabinet lock in order to cause it to fail then I am pretty sure your toddler will not get into the doors and drawers. On the day my product was supposed to be delivered I received an email from one of the company cocreator's asking if we had received the product yet. When I replied and said we had not yet received the cabinet locks she contacted the mail system to find out when the delivery would take place. The next day she again followed up with me to make sure I didn't have any questions about installation or concerns about the product. It is refreshing to purchase from a company that doesn't just say they care about product quality and customer care but actually contacts you to make sure your product arrived and you are satisfied with it.The only caution I would give future buyers is that every cabinet is different so be sure to line both pieces up on your cabinets and drawers before sticking them on permanently. For example, the lock catch is supposed to be even with the front edge of your cabinet but I found mine could not latch that way and the lock catch had to be moved forward about 2 mm in order to work properly. I realize 2 mm does not seem like a lot to most people but it is the difference between the product working and not working on our cabinets. You should definitely line them up and test their functionality before peeling the protective layer off and sticking them on permanently. We have had no problems with any markings on the cabinets from where we placed the tape and are thankful we do not have to drill in to our new cabinets. One of the last things that is very handy is a little lever on the bottom of the latching system that allows you to lock the lever down in case you need to get in and out of a door or drawer several times in a short time span.Overall we are very happy with the purchase and know that our little one is safe with these in place.

Huge improvement over older style latches!
We foster dogs, and inevitably one of the larger ones learned how to nose open the kitchen cabinet where we keep the trash can (it was inevitable!), so we learned the hard way that certain parts of the house needed to be child-proofed. I had only ever used the old style latches where you have to reach your finger inside to press down the hook, and was really not looking forward to having to deal with those every time I went for the trash or recycle bins. These magnetic latches almost seemed too good to be true, but based on the positive reviews I decided to give them a try, and I honestly couldn't be happier with them!Installation took just a minute or two per door. The instruction page was so tiny as to be almost worthless without a magnifier, but it's dead simple once you take a look at the parts. The active latching mechanism sticks to the inside face of the cabinet door, and the small catch sticks onto the frame of the cabinet. It's all just peel and stick adhesive, and they even include extras for re-positioning. You do have to be a little careful to make sure that you get the height just right on the part that attaches to the door, since there's only a couple millimeters of engagement. If you just barely touch the adhesive to the cabinet, you can check and re-position if need be, but once you press them on, they stick like crazy! On that note, I have little concern about these coming unstuck with any kind of normal use. Maybe if you had a determined toddler who would hang off the doors with all their weight, but they will certainly keep any causally curious animals or kids out. It doesn't state it in the instructions, but it's always a good idea to clean up any surface with something residue-free like rubbing alcohol before using mounting adhesive.Onto the operation: again, it couldn't be easier. There is a little toggle on the latch that flips back and forth to engage and disengage the latching mechanism. With the toggle pushed in, the cabinets open freely like normal, and with the toggle out, they will latch whenever you shut them. (That ability to engage or disengage the latch is probably one of my favorite things about these locks!) When the locks are engaged, you just hold the included magnet up to the cabinet where the latch is mounted, and then the cabinet door opens right up. It can easily be done one-handed and once you have done it a few times, you don't even think about it.In case you don't have a fridge or other magnetic surface by to stick the key when not in use, they even include a little adhesive-mount magnet that you can put anywhere it's convenient. The only minor negatives I can mention are the tiny instruction page, and the fact that the packaging seems a little excessive and unnecessary. They could probably shave a buck or two off the price by going with a simple blister card instead of a heavy box filled with dense foam. (Seriously, I've purchased $500 electronic items that don't even come in this nice of a box!)
