How many holes per foot? I can't tell from the picture but need it for a special application. Is the entire tube mesh, or 4 holes an inch?

The holes are about 6-8 little holes in a ring every 3 inches or so. It's a good hard plastic molded in an accordion shape, not too good for 90 degree angles, but extremely sturdy!

To have a secure connection, do i screw it or just "snap" it together and maybe use a little "gutter caulk" /seam sealer?

I screwed mine together and it’s held up very well!

What exact plastic is this made of

Very durable flex plastic is all I know. Worked very well for my curved drainage system.

can you connect this to 3 x 4 downspout without adaptor?

If your are connecting to a downspout yet you would need an adaptor. I used it as an extension to an existing expandable drain pipe (25 ft. which had the adaptor to downspout.
