I bought a **pair of Polk Audio Atrium 8 SDI speakers** for my **back patio expansion**, and they have been **nothing short of incredible**! The **beautiful design** blends seamlessly with my outdoor space, and they are built to withstand the elements.I paired these with a **SunFire amp**, and the **sound quality is simply awesome**—rich, clear, and powerful, even in an open outdoor environment. Mounting was **easy**, and the build quality feels **top-notch**, exactly what I expect from Polk Audio.I’ve been a **Polk Audio fan for almost 40 years**, and their **reputation for quality and durability** is well-earned. The media could not be loaded. Very good speakers for the price. My application of these speakers was in my garage where I paired them with a Fosi V3 amplifier. Great clear sound and respectable base. They can play loud without distorting. They appear to be well made and are easy to setup. Very good overall performance with a good return for your dollar. Recommended.2-8-25Still think I made a good decision to buy this speaker. I do recommend that you buy the 48 volt power supply. It will give you the best performance in terms of power, loudness, clarity. I paired these with a Fosi V3 amplifier. A good inexpensive way to outfit your outdoor sound system.

The sound from these almost made me cry. It has all the deep bass tones and the highs are crisp and clear. They were easy to install outside and given that I was on a second story ladder to do it, I was grateful for the way they designed the easy clip in and then tighten set up with the mounts. I highly recommend these bad boys, you will not be sorry!

Excellent!I have a pair of Atrium 4’s that have performed admirably for over ten years! Those were purchased and deployed pool-side at our former home. Like them so much that I took them with me to our new place.Upon moving our pool/patio area size increased substantially. The 4’s were still part of my overall plan but I wanted to increase coverage and my speaker count to four and thought a next size speaker up with a bit more bass might be in order.Over time, I ordered/tried two other, popular and well rated outdoor speakers to fit the desired need and for various reasons returned both. Quite frankly, neither sounded any better than my old 4’s. Both cost more.I then ordered some Prime Days, “used-like new” 5’s for a fantastic price ($148) and am delighted that I did😁 Third time/try was indeed the charm! Not only do they fill the space with quality/balanced tone, I now know that my outdoor sound 🎶 needs are more than satisfied for many dependable years to come!There’s a reason that this Atrium series from Polk has been the outdoor standard setter for over a decade, I should have never wandered/doubted. Lesson learned.

Good "patio" speaker for light listening. Granted these fully enclosed types of outdoor speakers do not have the bass response as a ported cabinet but hold their own for outdoor listening. I will add myself to the chorus of praise for these speakers though I admit I was somewhat skeptical going in. Speakers come in ranges of sound quality and pure quality alone is not the sole criteria when you are dealing with outdoor speakers that might have to perform at a party and still be heard, undistorted and filling without being overpowering. That is what I hoped for and that is what was delivered with these speakers. Do they approach the sound quality of my main system? Of course not. My main system is for critical listening and these are for projecting sound in an unfriendly environment potentially with a lot of background noise. That they do that in spades. With a deck full of people these speakers cut through and projected music without being overwhelming and presenting lots of detail and most importantly the essence of the music. I could not ask for better outdoor speakers at this price point.
