**Q: Does it really say the word "Sundial" on it?**
A: Yes it does....3 places. On the dial itself and on the "handle".

**Q: Does the sun dial automatically adjust for daylight savings time?**
A: The sun dial is of African origin. There is no day light savings time in Africa. You cannot save daylight. So no

**Q: Does it hold up in winter weather?**
A: So far so good. We have pretty extreme weather here, from 110 in summer to below freezing in winter, and so far it has help up just fine. The hot AZ sun is fading the color a bit but that's to be expected. I don't know how well it will handle super frigid weather  since the lowest we go is maybe about 25*.

**Q: Is this sundial flat on the bottom?  I need it to set on an existing concrete base.**

The sundial was made of slate and was of substantial thickness and weight. I gave it four stars because both the dial and the disc were chipped, but not bad enough to return.
