Only worked with an HDMI converter box on an HDMI TV??? But it DID work
As far as these things go, this one is better than average. I am able to get more channels with it. Most of these antenna and antenna boosters will only bag me about two or three channels and this gets me not only 7, but the 7 I wanted. If you are looking for something capable of picking up transmissions from the Hubble, you will be disappointed. But I like it.

No Need for Cable with This
This antenna works great! Easy to install. I can pick up over 30 stations and the pictures are all perfect. No distortion or static. It is a little hard deciding what to do with the body of the antenna since my TV is thin. I guess I could hang it on the wall. Right now it is sitting on top of my book case.

Not sure... Yet
I got this on time! But, when I went to hook it up the pin in the antenna cable was bent! I am waiting to hear if they will replace it or not, can't hook it up until I get it replaced. So, I can't say right now how it works, if they don't replace it I will send it back and order from another company...

I seriously doubt this is the most powerful indoor antena; as the description says
My little collapsing antenna that came free with my TV picks up more channels than this! On top of that it doesn't work with my old box shaped sets, only my HD ready TV. My small antenna picked up 8 stations, the Orca only 3;but they are three different ones, I can't get those first 8. It does not have an internal amplifier as the description says! it does not come with an external either. I bet with an amplifier I could pick up the 12 stations the internet says should be available in my area. And I wish I had known that it wouldn't work with my old TVs.

DESCRIPTION IS WRONG.
Per my conversation with the manufacturer, this antenna is NOT amplified. It does NOT have 36 DB gain. It does NOT have a 15-18 db gain as indicated on the manufacturer web site. It only has 5 db gain without amplifier and 25 db potential gain with amplifier, as indicated in the installation guide. It does NOT have an internal rotor motor. The available (on the manufacturer web site) amplifier is sold separately. Also, there are other good amplifiers in the market. The manufacturer admits an error on his web site. I tried to advise one seller but he refuses to change his description or contact the manufacturer. I live in a flat area. Transmitters are 25-50 miles away. You must extend the rod antennas and use an amplifier for best reception. This antenna is omnidirectional and will pick up some stations without an amplifier. My rating is for the antenna without amplifier. I tried it with an RCA amplifier (available on Amazon). It requires an additional piece of coax cable besides the one provided or a female to female joiner (available at Radio Shack). The antenna has a short piece of coax with a male end and this amplifier has a male end to be attached to the antenna. Although I have opted to purchase a better amplifier elsewhere, I would rate the antenna with an amplifier at 5 stars.

All in all I get about 20 channels but here in Denver about 15 of then are Spanish which I do not understand so I can only watch
I bought as an experiment to see how many channels i could get and maybe get rid of my satellite charges. Well I get all the major local channels, but no sport channels so I just keep this antenna in on the basement TV which I rarely use. All in all I get about 20 channels but here in Denver about 15 of then are Spanish which I do not understand so I can only watch the major channels which is what i usually watch anyway so this was a good buy for me.

Highly recommend
I purchased this item with the Acoustic Research RCA Digital Amplifier. The farthest tower from my house is 13 miles and there is a large hill in between. Occasionally this signal gets slightly broken or I have to move the antenna when the weather is bad. Otherwise I picked up every channel that the antenna.org site said I should get and they all come in great. I just received the Mohu leaf antenna to hook up to another television. It doesn't appear to have any better reception and costs $20 more than this combo. With that said, the Mohu Leaf is a little easier to hide and comes with a 16 foot cable as opposed to the 8 footer with this set. Depending on your layout, you may need a 16 foot cable, which would negate the $20 savings. All in all, I would highly recommend this setup. As a side note, I am extatic that I finally dumped dish and got an antenna. Some of the PBS channels rival Food Network and the Travel Channel. For you sports fans, you won't get ESPN. No Monday Night Football. I also have a PBS channel that has history documentaries that are every bit as good as the History Channel. I also get all the major networks. All while saving about a $1000 per year.
