Behringer HPM1000-BK Multi-Purpose Headphones

Update 27 Aug 2021 (see below for my original review): It's been over 2 years now of daily use around the house and I'm still extremely happy with the Behringer HPM1000 headphones - so much so that I put them on today and thought I ought to update this review. I see that the price has gone up, (currently $38 vs $13 when I bought them), and I'm honestly not surprised, I think they were a steal at the price I paid. I'm not an audiophile, but I enjoy making and listening to music and spoken word. I don't know what other headphones are available for $40, there may be better options, but I don't care. I'm happy with these, and you'll probably be happy with them too if you decide to buy. Also, since I didn't mention it in my original review, these are very comfortable for me. I wear them for hours at a time with no pain or discomfort. My only complaint is that my ears can get a bit warm and moist after several hours, but I just give them a break and let them air out for a few minutes and then I'm good for another round. Original review: I paid about $13 for these, and have no regrets. I've been using them daily at home for over a year now and they still look brand new. Read some of the other reviews and understand the meaning of "studio headphones" in terms of sound response, they have a fairly flat response unlike most headphones meant for music listening. That said, I listen to music with them unequalized almost daily and it honestly sounds fine to me, much better than in-ear buds that cost twice as much as these. In terms of durability, I treat mine pretty well, but have accidentally yanked on the cable/dropped them a few times and had no problems. They seem well-built for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair if needed.

Really good sound. Lightweight and comfy. Sturdy. Just wish the ear pads were adjustable but that is because of my head shape/size. Excellent value for the price

I needed a headset and could not decide due to the amount of reviews, and prices so different, etc. I decided to buy this one since it was not expensive. I can tell is not a headset for gaming due to the fact sound is natural, not enhanced, but I consider it to be a good headset with a natural flat response. Anyway, my wife started to use them and found them so comfortable and sounded nice, so she kept them. I had to order another one and soon to be delivered. Good headphones overall.

Pretty good sound. I’m using for podcast production, so they don’t have to be great. Well worth the money.

These are the worst headphones I have ever used. The sound quality is terrible. Sounds like a muffled speaker through a thick towel.

These are a great as cost effective monitors. They're also used for my podcast guests, and they do the job. These are not for those who want to have a cheap pair of headphones for music or content consumption. These are fine for those purposes, but I would not recommend it.

Clear headphones great for connecting to a Zealsound USB microphone. Studio quality headphones for a great price. They are also quite comfortable.
