Japanese Teacup ”Cat” Yunomi

To say I love this teacup is an understatement! I ended up getting two, and plan on getting two more to make a set just because of how happy they make me. I've always been fond of cats, and the designs on this teacup are intricate and graceful and bring so much joy. Sadly, you cannot microwave or dish wash this but that is very common for Japanese teacups, as the designs can be damaged/chipped off if not hand washed gently. Despite this, the teacup itself is very sturdy and I can tell it will last me a long time.In short, this teacup will make you feel happy when drinking your tea; it can warm your hands on cold or dreary days and then lift your spirits with its fun design. Just be careful not to heat your tea up too hot, otherwise you might burn your hands!

This is such a cute cup, but the packaging gave me anxiety! I can see how these cups could easily get broken in transit.

What can I say but i love cats, had 5 of my furry friends throughout my life. The cup is very important to me. 😉My cinnamon cat, James tries to drink my tea In it, especially Is thick enough a sturdy to handle any mishap. If I put hot drinks like morning hot tea I must wait until it cools a bit to handle the cup. I found that cool/cold liquid stays cold longer. Believe it or not I like cool wine in it. I seem to be weird that way. ☺️

Got this as a gift for my husband. The first time I went to make him tea it cracked all the way down the side when I poured the hot water in.... I’m pretty sure tea cups should be able to withstand hot liquids.
