first bought: excellent so far and for the price - very light, maneuverable, sucks well. Doesnt get to corners/edges very well. Am being careful not to re-charge (on the base) til fully discharged as the reviews clearly say that ruins the battery.update: changed review to piece of junk. I did as the product specified and did not re-charge til battery was completely run down and only use this for light vacuuming (my work office). After the second charging it barely picks up -I can do better picking up fluff and bits with my hands. Take note of the other reviews. This is junk.

Decent vac. Picks up well and has good power. The key is to let the battery run out completely before recharging it. If you keep charging it after every use it will shorten the battery life to almost nothing.

I do not love it. It picks up pet hair well on hardwood floors, but not impressed otherwise. It is lightweight and takes up little space and easy to maneuver, but it doesn't suck when I wish it would. Example--I sprinkled baking soda on a mattress to freshen it. Tried to vacuum it and this little Devil barely picked up anything. I tried carpet setting, bare floor setting, different directions, even just let it sit in spots--it would not pick up the baking soda. That of course makes me wonder how much dust it is picking up out of area rugs.

Vacuum is good for really small spaces. When trying to vacuum larger areas, the battery dies very quickly and that causes the suction to decrease.

This vacuum does its job. Obviously you cannot expect to do a deep cleaning with this little cordless unit, but it vacuums up crumbs and dirt/small stones very well. The battery doesn't last forever, but long enough to pick up what it needs to. Also, the brush roller for the carpet works nicely. And its very easy to empty the canister. The docking station is sturdy and convenient. I have 4 kids under 5, so it gets a lot of use. I'm very pleased with this product and I would recommend to my friends. Plus, the kids like to use it, bonus! You won't be disappointed.

I purchases this product about a year ago. After around 6 months, it stopped working as effectively as when I first purchased this product. The suction would start to die after just a couple minutes and I would have to place it on the charger, only to take it off again and have the same problem. Now it will vacuum up some of the dirt, only to fall right back out the bottom when I turn the vacuum off. It says it has two settings, one for hard wood and one for carpet, but they aren't very different. It doesn't pick up dirty very well. I have to go over spots several times and it still won't get everything. The filter is also very messy. It gets clogged with my hair that has fallen out and onto the carpet. It also gets stuck in the bottom roller. When you try to dump this product, it feels like the dirt is just going back into the air. Save your money and buy a different product.

Works great on bare floors and throw rugs. Been using it daily mainly to test it's recharging power. No complaints there. Plenty of pick up power and easy to clean, works well on pet hair and I like that it stands up by it's self in or out of the charger. Money Well spent . And yes, I would recommend this to a friend or relative.

Bought this August 19th for my office cube (10 x 10). used it 1-2 times a week. After a couple of months, the high speed wouldn't even last for the 10 x 10 cube so just used the low one. Finally, it died completely in April. I contacted Dirt Devil and they said they did not have replacement batteries and told me to unplug it for 10 minutes and it would reset. I unplugged it for 10 minutes. Nothing. 1 hour, Nothing. 1 Day, Nothing.What a waste ! I have a hand vac at home which has worked for over 5 years and use it almost daily. Poor quality and NO SUPPORT.
