I read the book, loved it. Hearing ONJ reading the book really adds to it. Her voice is joyful and soothing at the same time.

Wonderful book.
I stared reading this book on the night she sadly passed (RIP, Olivia) I couldn't believe how much of her life wasn't public knowledge, she went through more pain and suffering in her life than anyone should have to and always remained positive and hopeful. What I really appreciate is that she wasn't writing a tell all book, I don't think she has an unkind word to say about anyone and she had such a positive spirit that she made an otherwise sad story seem somewhat uplifting. I now have a much greater appreciation for the kind, compassionate, strong woman that Olivia Newton John was, she will surely be missed.

Always a Fan
I admit to buying this book because I've always been a fan of Olivia Newton-John. Memoirs don't usually appeal to me, as I think most of them as being fictional accounts of someone's life anyway (who can remember such things of decades past? And most of it never reveals the nitty gritty reality of the person.) Yet, I wanted to read about her journey with cancer. So, this review is for the book only, and it needed an editor. It appears that she might have started writing it years ago, because she mentions something about the pants she wore in Grease and how they withstood 22 years. The movie was released in 1978; it's now 2019, so do the math. She mentions more than once she isn't much of a drinker, but several times refers to vodka, dirty martinis, etc. She overly gushes about Australia, being Australian, and such, and that was the biggest surprise of the book for me. By birth, she's British, having moved with her parents as a child to Australia due to her father's job. Then only lived there a decade or so before embarking on her career and moving to London and then the US. Of course, she now owns property in Australia. I always thought she was Australian; no explanation in the book as to how/why she claims to be Australian (maybe changed her citizenship?). It would have been nice to know.I felt when reading this book, ONJ embraced the Sandy role from Grease in real life. That's how it comes across to me, as a persona for the world to see and believe. Everyone is wonderful, a great friend, etc, and I respect her positive outlook but I suppose I wanted to read about the reality of her situation. What I read wasn't reality, at least not in my opinion. I, too, agree in searching for alternative treatments and therapies, but when her husband was giving her "herbal treatments" that were "mind altering" and "hallucinogenic" (her words), then it crosses the line a little for me.She looks fabulous, and is still a very beautiful woman. I'm glad she has found peace and happiness with her husband and is living with less pain. I wish her all the best.

Love the title.
I have been a fan of ONJ since 1974. I had heard "Let Me Be There" and really liked it but really noticed her with "If You Love Me, Let Me Know" and "I Honestly Love You". But when "Have You Never Been Mellow" came out I was blown away and in love. I do admit the last 25 years I haven't really listened to any of her newer music but I still love her. When I saw this book was coming out I knew I had to have it. It brought me back to those early days in the 70s. I fell in love again. Olivia takes you through her early life and her career, especially the big moments like filming Grease, Xanadu, releasing Physical and many more. You will not get a tell all book here, just a nice read. You can feel her love for her family, her daughter and her friends. I know she is just as nice in person as she always has appeared to be. I wish her all the best and pray that she stays well.

Wonderful; lovely Livvy tells her story in her own words; funny and informative
I’ve read everything I could get my hands on about Olivia Newton-John and have long awaited her story in her own words. It was worth the wait; such funny anecdotes from her early career and real insights into her loyal friendships with people she’s know all her life like Pat Farrar, nee Carrol, and John Farrar who wrote many of her favourite songs. It’s clear she is beautiful inside and out and despite suffering quite a lot of painful times, miscarriage, horse riding accidents and recurring cancer, she keeps smiling her stunning smile. A real trooper, I was sooo excited to see her at The Royal Albert Hall in March 2013 that I burst into tears when she came on stage! I didn’t expect my reaction to be so strong but I have truly followed her with blind admiration since she exploded on our screens in Grease. She didn’t delve too much into her love life; no explanations why her marriage didn’t work or previous beau’s hit the road other than to say “it didn’t work out’ - that’s her prerogative and I’m guessing she wants to preserve her girl next door image. Suffice to say I loved her book and love her too.Very much.

A Great Read Into Olivia's Life
This is a well written account of Olivia's success in the music and acting business that she has been involved in for much of her life. Any fan of hers will enjoy this read. She also explains in detail of the darkness and light that she experienced with her illness. I would have given this book a 5 STAR rating but for the lack of photographs of her in "Grease" which I think would have enhanced the book.

Honest and heartfelt account
I found the book interesting and very honest. Olivia didn’t gloss over her trials and tribulations but looked for the good and the humour in everything, no matter how bad it was. I believe reading this book she led a very full and interesting life, albeit too short. The book gives an insight into the good and the bad of touring. However she bought a lot of fans a lot of pleasure with her voice and her films. She also did a lot of good with the ONJ wellness centre, a life well lived and that comes across in this book.

Olivia, I honestly love you.
Interesting and insightful with warmth and humour in every page this memoir is an enjoyable read. While it tends to skip over certain chapters (to save hurting others), Olivia is quite candid as she looks back over her extraordinary life.

A gem that was well worth waiting for....Absolutely loved every moment!!!!!
Having followed Olivia for many years it was just wonderful to literally hear her share all the little things about growing up and her hopes and dreams...all the little insights into what makes this graceful lady find the strength to always keep smiling and never stop believing herself...A little gem of a book in either format ( I have both formats) ... Personally I felt it’s a must for all fans to hear Olivia’s voice journeying through her life , hear her almost thinking ,laughing and trying to recall things and on another level for everyone else facing perhaps similar health issues to inspire and help meet the challenges that face much of life’s adversity!
