Just a little trick. The regulator that comes with this unit screws right into a propane tanks connection { yes the one you use for BBQ } it screws into those tanks. It screws in as a male connection. Forge gets SUPER hot SUPER quick ! Gas connector connects to propane tanks INNER THREADS :) . So long as you have a standard propane tank for BBQ ..like propane tanks you can get from walmart for gas barbeque pits you'll be ready to heat up steel in less than 15 minutes. This gives a nice super hot super quick result allowing you more hammer time on the forge versus heating up the steel slowly. I have a charcoal forge and this gas forge just makes forging quick and to the point.
