Really love kicking horse coffee. I'm slowly attempting to try majority of their flavors. Kick ass dark is bold and upon opening the bag when it arrives, you can't help but make an espresso immediately. The aroma that comes from the opening of the bag, of fresh just roasted beans that are oily (the oil dissipates a bit after a couple days, it's been safe for my semi auto breville built in grinder espresso machine bes870xl) all in all, I used to only buy Pete's until I luckily found kicking horse coffee. I even gave my family just enough to tease and they admitted it kills Pete's coffee which we all have enjoyed, until this took over. I have had kicking horse decaf (it's good and great for evening drinks if you don't want to stay up all night), I've tried kick ass dark multiple times and trying medium 3 sisters blend next (I believe that's what it's called) but I have no doubt any of their coffee is not delicious.

I ordered this because I was ready to try something other than my "norm" and, mostly because of the name, I decided to order it. Since I have "Amazon Prime" it got here super fast, like always, and I was ready to open and indulge! After opening the pack of beans, I was hit with the great smell of the coffee, I just knew I would be hooked. Sure enough, I ground up the coffee as instructed on the bag, set it in the K-Cup for coffee grounds, and waited. Usually I add cream and even a little sweetener. With this coffee I did not need to add either. The tast was so great, I am still amazed. I am on probably my 20th cup, I have had the coffee for 3 days. Needless to say, very happy customer. I will definitely try out the next flavor that catches my eye from this company! By the way, the coffee actually gives me energy, unlike any other coffee I have had.

I'm 74, ben drinking coffee since I was 9. had it all from bucks to blue mountain. I drink 5 cups everyday. If you are a dark roast whole bean grinder, try it I think you'll love it.

I love this coffee so much I have subscribe to get a pack every two months. It's been over two years of subscription but I am sick of the frequent price changes happens to my purchase even under subscription. It's 9.99 one time and then 11 next order, back to 10 and up to 15 at one point. What's the matter with you? If I want to pay the store price, I would go support my local store. I love this coffee, but this pricing model is absolutely unbearable. I am seriously considering to cancel my subscription although at 11 it is still a good deal.I'm a "kick ass" lover. It is amazing, powerful, always fresh (unlike mentioned in a negative comment). Please don't repel me from your store by these changes.

This is my favourite coffee, we buy atleast two or three bags/month. It arrives in two days and is always fresh and well sealed. This time the bags of coffee were shipped in plastic wrap "usually shipped in a box". When I got the package home noticed the plastic was ripped or cut in two places, the coffee bag inside was also cut open, beans were falling out. We needed the coffee so we immediately used this bag the other bag was still sealed. I do not recommend shipping quality coffee in anything other than in a box. We have not given up on kicking horse but may purchase elsewhere, to ensure what we order is not compromised.

KICK ASS DARK ROAST: I don’t buy many whole bean coffees but the price seems to be good for what I’m getting out of it. Makes a good cold brew. Smells amazing when I’m grinding it. A good strong sharp flavour. Good for hot coffee as well, I use a bit less when making hot coffee as it is stronger than cold brew.GRIZZLY CLAW: Another great dark roast, very flavourful and great price. The tones of dark chocolate come out just enough to taste which is very nice. Makes a good cold brew and hot coffee.HOLA LIGHT ROAST: A little more expensive than the others, but nothing serious. The notes of the res currents seem to be coming through a little to much for me, but if you’re into that this is great for you. Though as you get through your first cup, I seemed to get used to it. Have not tried it hot yet but makes a refreshing cold brew. After trying hot and cold, for a couple of weeks, it is much better hot.

We buy Bags of this coffee when it’s on sale- So much cheaper than grocery store but make sure you’re looking at how many grams per bag- it’s easy to mistake the small one for the 1 pound

When I got my Breville barista machine which was very expensive I decided I would not be cheap about choosing a coffee. So I purchased many brands of coffee from around the world and tried them all. I wanted the best because I'm picky about my coffee. I was so thrilled to find my favourite ended up being a Canadian brand that's also fair trade. You can't improve on that.The beans are always moist with coffee oil unlike the Italian brands (which were awful with very dry beans). The Kick-Ass coffee smells amazing, has a strong dark roast flavour and not bitter.I like Kicking Horse's other brands but this one is the very best and this price on Amazon is the cheapest for Prime members, especially when you subscribe.
