Wave® Music System III with Multi-CD Changer - Titanium Silver

I bought this for my 94 year old mother who wanted to listen to her old cds. She is over the moon pleased as am I. Many many years ago she and my father had a BOSE surround sound system with a 5 cd changer that was awesome. A few years ago the cd changer stopped working and we couldn’t find anyone to repair it. Needless to say my mother really missed having it. Well, now, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Ottmar Liebert, and many, many more oldies are giving my mother immense pleasure once again. New high quality CD players are not manufactured any longer so I was ecstatic to find this discontinued (BRAND NEW) pristine display model Wave III system available on Amazon. BOSE never disappointed us in the past for quality products and sound quality. The seller was very meticulous in packing and shipping the unit in a timely way and it was worth every penny!!! I highly recommend them and this product.

I have a home automation system that includes a whole house audio system that plays from a docked i-Pod. My Mother enjoys listening to music but has difficulty working the complicated network controls so I bought this unit for her because it seemed simple to operate and the reviews for sound quality were good. After using it today for the first time, I wished that gotten a couple of these units for myself and saved all that money putting in a home audio system. This unit has better sound quality because the music is from the CD instead of the MP3 player, and it was very easy to install and operate. Bose did provide software to update the Multi-CD changer (see another reviewer's comments regarding the older Multi-CD changer). The instructions were so clear that we had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. It's also compact enough that it could be moved easily from room to room if desired. This was a very good purchase.

I'm familiar with Bose, but not familiar with their current advertising campaigns. There was a time when they oversold themselves and left my family disappointed. Now, we know the product and we know how good it is. The Wave Music System III is not going to fill a Great Room, but we're not asking it to do that. Therefore, the way I titled this review. CDs and radio both give robust sound and the radio tunes easily, holding its stations. We'll see if the CD base holds up. (We have an older Bose radio whose changer did not last as long as I think it should have; on the other hand, the radio continues to go strong.) I don't mean to be meager in my praise of Bose, but I think it essential that potential buyers know what they are buying. In its class this is a superior product, pricey but worth the price. I would recommend this product to family and friends.

I like how compact the two pieces are - wave radio with one CD and multi- CD changer with space for 3 CD's. They multl-cd changer fits nicely under the wave radio. Love the Titanium Silver color - very unobtrusive. Had to connect antennae in order to get all stations (you have to buy the antennae). I love Jazz and classical music. The Wave radio has one CD and the multi-cd changer holds 3 CD's. Music plays all day, changing from one CD to another. Can change CD's by using remote control 'eject' button (have the larger remote that lights up, love it for clarity of seeing and using all options). One negative - when changing from one CD to another, you hear a light clattering noise; you would think Bose would come up with a quiet changer, but not yet. The music sounds beautiful but doesn't fill several rooms; it fills a couple open rooms, such as family room opening up to a living/dining room. I asked if there were wireless speakers available so I could hear the music throughout the home, but was told there are no wireless speakers that would connect to this system. I like the Bose system very much - wish there were wireless speakers to pull the music throughout the entire home.

This seller is outstanding! My Bose Wave radio and multi-cd player are in “like new” condition, they were sent out immediately and beautifully packaged! I’m absolutely delighted!

Zero. This is piece of junk! Nine months later it is not working right. I can not return it for a refund! I am stuck with a piece of junk that cost me $800.00! Crap! Pure Crap! After three phone calls, I reached a tech person at Bose who was very helpful. However, the Amazon order number was not in their system when I talked to the first person so my purchase didn't exist to Bose. I sent the multi-changer part of the system back. It cost me $19.00 dollars to ship it back and now I will probably have to wait 2-3 weeks for the repairs to be made and the shipping time until I have the system again. Other then the tech guy, the whole message from Amazon and Bose has been "tough luck." You decide how you would feel after spending $800.00 and having road blocks all the way. Also, I had no choice in the return process. I wanted my money back. Not possible. Neither Amazon or Bose would give me that option. My advice is to purchase your system locally and be very careful about reading the information about how long the guarantee covers these kinds of incidents. Even if you are not sure if the system is working correctly--take it back and get a refund in full and go some place else and purchase another brand. It came back and two weeks later it stopped working. Both the top and bottom units do NOT work. The CD changer on the bottom unit does NOT work and about two hours into use, you are stuck with a very expensive piece of JUNK. The sound is OK but not what Bose claims it to be. You will be very sorry after you buy this product. Remember, you are NOT paying for any quality but for all the expensive advertising that Bose does to sell this junk. If you think Bose can take millions of dollars of magazine ads out in major publications and not pass that expense on to the buyer--then go ahead buy it. The net is filled with other products that are 1/3 or less the cost and have better sound. ZERO!!!

We have been wanting a Bose system for about 20 years and finally took the plunge and used our Christmas fund to get one. Yes it is pricey but the clarity and reception are amazing. We live in a dead area receptionwise. AM stations (al 2 of them) fade out as soon as you tune them in, FM maybe 5 or6 stations TV 3 stations tops. With the Bose I haven't even found all the stations yet. And now I can even hear all the lyrics on my cds. I especially like the multiple changer so that my crummy knees don't have to keep jumping up and down every time the disc finishes. It was well worth the wait and we are certainly enjoying it. P.S. we also have a Solo for the TV. WOW! Concerts on PBS are fantastic and you can actually hear dialog.

Bose rates highest marks with us first, because of the purity and clarity of sound. There is nothing else like it in our opinion. It is like being there live to hear a performance. We also like the smaller, sleek Titanium Silver color that fits well with our decor, and the stackable option of the extra CD changer. It is wonderful to hear, and beautiful to look at. The new touch/swipe on and off is neat too. This is our second Bose radio system, the original, now 15 yrs old, is in our permanent residence, and the new one in our southwest vacation home.

Worked for one week, now holding two CDs ransom Difficult to get help from Best Buy

Arrived well packaged, no surprises which is good as it was listed as used and rebuilt. Seems to work fine.

If it stops working...I do have 1 yr warranty if anything goes wrong. Am I right??? ()That's what I was told It took me few hours to get it going...but I did it! Reading owner's guide was fun...very small text ! It was a very interesting job, especially to me who doesn't know much about technology. Now I have a nice silver CD player and it sounds great! Hopefully it'll stay that way for years to come. If anything goes wrong I have a 1 year warranty until year from now??? Am I right? That's what they told me at Bose Ltd. I like these, had one for years, this is a replacement for the old one. They’re good… my dad had one on all the time. The cd player gave up eventually (After almost 20 years). Criticisms would include complicated cd functionality… point of possible failure as was my case before. And cost. There’s no arguing they are expensive. But if you want big sound in a central spot it’s good!
