Very happy, great price at under $250.
I bought this to replace a 10-year-old HP All In One that finally bit the dust. Looking for all the same features (print, scan, copy, fax) and decided to go with B/W laser for the better cost per page and I barely used color on my previous printer.I got this up and running quickly, set up was easy down from unpacking it, getting everything hooked up (power, phone cable) and getting the ink cartridge in (surprisingly easy and fast to do). I downloaded the drivers directly from the HP website to ensure I had the latest drivers. My Windows 7 and 10 PC's use this through Wi-Fi and had no trouble finding the printer on the network and working. Windows 10 even installed the software itself once I made it my default printer.Been up and running for about a month now and I'm really happy with it. Prints fast and clean. It started leaving streaks on a test page once but doing the "clean" feature fixed it on the first try. Had one paper jam, but that was because I put the paper in crooked. Easy to clear and was running again in about a minute. This does not do automatic duplex printing which is no big deal for me. Just take the paper out of the done tray, put it back in the bottom, hit OK on the screen and it finishes. Scanning is good and easy to do, but it's not designed for large batch jobs like books. My biggest gripe would be with the rather cheap touch screen. The viewing angles are terrible, so if you are looking down at it, it can be hard to see. The touch screen can be a bit picky about how you select things. I've found that using the tip of my finger (hitting the screen with my nail) is the most accurate instead of where my fingerprints are (the "meat" of the thumb I guess you'd call it). The options are often right on top of each other on the screen, so by using the top of my finger, I press exactly what I want and the screen recognizes it perfectly.

HP finally got wireless printing right!
WOW I know how many times do you read on a printer EZ set up, but this time HP has got it right.I'm a computer guy and I have customers that are not.One customer bought this in Fl, I'm in Tn. We connected the computers together and with her hands and my working the computer we got the printer on her network, the software installed and wirelessly printed, scanned from her laptop. Also she found the printer on her iPhone and iPad.It's a Laser printer B&W so no chance of the ink cartridge's drying out, its a powder. If she wants to print in color she will take to Walmart, Sams or Walgreens for prints. I bought one for a local customer (this one) and I had to set it up for a wireless connection WITHOUT a network, as they use a MiFi card to get internet in their home (they have no High speed in their location) so the new computer finds the printers signal, you choose the WiFi signal and BAM printing and scanning wirelessly with out a router. Again iPhone and iPad found the printer right away and printed right from the get go. I like the face that they did away with the paper drawer as its just another thing to go wrong. The touch screen display was intuitive and worked right. I did hear a plastic clicking noise the first time I used the document feeder but I attribute that to the gears finding themselves for the first time. I ran several tests and everything is fine. I paid retail price, but when this puppy goes on sale I will pick up one for myself, as my networked printers don't like iOS products.

No problem with set up and everything was great. Then in April
I purchased the original printer in late January. No problem with set up and everything was great. Then in April, I went to make a copy and found that the touch pad would not respond to any touch. After spending hours on the phone with HP Support, they send me a new, scratched that, a refurbished one to replace it since no one could seem to figure out what the problem was. Of course they told me it would be warranteed for the remainder of my original product. I received my refurbished one within the week, set it up and it worked - for one week. I went to make another copy and, you guessed it, the same problem. When I called for support, I could go on line and request support or wait an hour on the phone. Of course, I went on line, put in all my product information to only find that the refurbished product serial number said that I was out of warrantee. So I called again and luckily got someone on the phone. After looking everything up, she had a different serial number that the one that had been sent me, a different name and just could not understand. After being totally frustrated with this I have had it with HP. I asked for my money back which they are supposedly sending once I send them their laser jet printer - that doesn't work! I will NEVER purchase another HP product!

Amazingly user friendly. Works very well.
This particular model has its own wireless. It does not need to be connected to your home's wireless. When you load their HP software in your computer, it can install a HP Scan icon on the windows taskbar. Click on it and you can scan from flatbed or feeder to jpg or PDF (without having Acrobat!).Sweet! No need to buy a PDF software to support the scanning. It prints and scans very well. I do not use the fax feature.Update July 2, 2014Printer is still working well. In trying to configure it for my Samsung tablet, the settings on the printer were altered and I had to reset the printer to its default settings and reloading the software on my laptop. All of this was user (i.e. me) error. It all went well. Everything is working again. It was good to know I was able to recover without calling their technical support.I was finally able to figure out the Samsung Galaxy 12.2 and it now prints to this HP printer. This has been a very impressive and reliable printer.
