Its easy to set up and its easy to use
Its easy to set up and its easy to use. Plus for the price you cant beat it. Can set up with both finger prints and password for those whos finger print never seems to work. My company is very happy with this machine.

Could have dealt with the problem, but not with the seller
I actually would have written a better review for this product, despite of the poor manual and the really time consuming programing (after all, you will only do this once if you own a small business like I do, right?), if someone at the seller's office would have replied with anything other than "you can return it, we will refund your money". I actually wanted to fix the problem instead of returning the product right away!I guess when they raized the price by $20 after I bought it they weren't interested in fixing it.Everything worked, exept for the biometric sensor: when turning it on it displayed a "sensor error..." message. I would think they'd at least explained to me what was going on. But nothing. 1 star to them.

This is an okay product. I knew that I was buying a lower-end product and didn't expect much but I had to return it because the output was a date order listing of all punches so if I wanted to use it for payroll, it would take me hours to reorganize it so that it was usable information. And I only have 15 employees.

So close, but not quite there
The other reviews are correct - the documentation for this is very inadequate but it can be figured out. I don't know why they don't just hire someone who knows how to write these and produce a detailed manual. The machine works very well for recording time. The fingerprint recognition is good and the operation for employees is simple. The other problem, however, is with the software. When you download the data and then bring up the file in Excel it has both the in time and out time for each day in the same cell. So to calculate using Excel I have to manually enter each time in separate cells. I told them about it in an email, but they don't seem to understand why that's a problem. The time in and the time out each day should be in separate cells in the spreadsheet. I'm getting used to the extra time it takes to use the data, but each time I do payroll I think how easy it would be if I didn't have to re-enter the data. Maybe someone has figured out a solution to this and if so, I'd be happy to hear about it. In general this machine is well worth the money it costs. It's just frustrating that they can't fix the simple problems of a manual that makes sense and software that is user friendly.

Basic, but works well.
I just got this in today. For the price it's not bad, but you get what you pay for. The method of inputting text is pretty awful, but the machine works well and reads fingerprints no problem. The documentation is annoying since it's all flowcharts, but I didn't have a problem getting set up and running in under 5 min. If you're looking for an entry-level solution this will work well for you. As a business owner I'm really happy to have this, since it really beats written time cards.

Works perfectly but no help in setting it up. If you are lucky to get a manual in the box, it will not help you at all. The company should have spent a little more money to make their product easier to use

Works for a month
Works great until the end of the month. Once a new month comes around all of last months data magically disappears! Talk about some disgruntled employees and an angry me! I am now forced to take pictures of the time stamps from the screen so that I have them before the month is over. All attempts to export data have been unsuccessful. I've tried opening the exports on mac and pc (excel) and can't get it to work. Maybe it was a dud but I am not happy with this product at all. Would not recommend.

Don't purchase without a manual
Not too thrilled with this purchase. I had read the reviews and the primary complaint was the lack of a manual. I thought that I am pretty savvy and could figure it out pretty quickly. Did figure out but took entirely too long. I would not recommend it.
