This handy device has quickly become an essential tool in my photography kit, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.First and foremost, let's talk about ease of use. Works well
I got this for astrophotography with my Nikon D3300 DSLR. It's a bit annoying to program (watching the numbers climb slowly as you hold the up button), but it works fine once it's programmed. I typically use this to capture ~100 20-second shots at a time as I'm using an Alt/Az mount (Celestron CPC 800) and need to reframe/rotate the field of view every 30 minutes or so. It works great for this purpose. For taking calibration frames, you can either program it (e.g., darks) or just hold the middle button to take quick captures in sequence (e.g., bias frames). Notably, I was taking pictures at ~13F temperatures and it worked just fine.

Great customer service
Updated review: the company reached out to me proactively following an issue with my remote and subsequent review and helped me resolve it quickly and easy. Very pleased with how well they handled it, and looking forward to using my replacement remote.Initial review! Was very excited to use this for some astro & aurora photography on an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, the plug on the cable broke with the very first use, the metal outer section and part that inserts into the camera port bent and broke off. The remote still "works" but doesnt send data to the camera now.

Great Intervalometer, wish I bought it earlier. Excellent for the price.
I’m extremely pleased with this Intervalometer. I purchased it to use with my Nikon D7000 for Astrophotography. Before that I was trying to use the built in Intervalometer function on the camera.I found that very frustrating. The first time out with this unit I successfully programmed and used it to photograph the Orion Nebula. Once you figure it out the programming is quite easy. There is a light option. Unlike some other units there is a power switch. So far I’ve used it for 3-4 outings and about 2-3 hours of timing. Even without turning it on you can use it as a remote release on Nikon cameras.I followed the suggestion of another buyer and only used the supplied Chinese batteries to test the unit. Then I threw them out and put some quality Alkaline cells into it.When using it for longer exposures than 30 seconds remember to set your camera to Bulb. I made the mistake of programming for 1 minute exposures and forgetting to set my camera to bulb. So I had a long session with only 30 second subs.I highly recommend this unit, kind of reluctantly. In America’s current situation we produce very little electronics and rely on China for inexpensive products. This is one of those. It does the job of the Nikon unit for about 1/6 or less the cost. I can’t tell how long it will last, but so far it seems pretty well built. That’s why I gave it 5 stars.

Only worked a few days
I actually really liked this unit when I received it. Easy to setup and worked great with my Nikon D5500. Unfortunately I had only plugged it in and out a couple of times when it quit triggering the camera. The connector seems to be the extreme weak link. The metal part of the connector seemed to be very loose in the soft plastic (rubber?) housing. A hard plastic housing would likely make this an excellent product. Even if it added $5 to the cost it would still be worth the money. I considered keeping it and replacing the connector but ended up returning it and trying the Neewer unit instead.
