Everything I Need To Know I Learned From a Little Golden Book: An Inspirational Gift Book

I first received this Little Golden Book as a gift and loved it so much that I’ve since purchased several copies to share with others. Anyone who grew up with these books will instantly connect to the nostalgic charm and uplifting messages. And if you’re not already familiar with Little Golden Books, this is the perfect one to start with.

I have over the years ordered this item, time and time again for graduations, special birthdays for so many nieces, nephews, friend's kids, etc., you cannot go wrong with this book. It is so beautifully made, the messages are so inspiring and beautiful and fun, I usually add some of my own words of wisdom on the pages as well, to personalize it to whom I am gifting it to. I always get notes of thanks from everyone saying how original the book is and how meaningful and how they appreciate it greatly, having received it. It is a very thoughtful addition to a card or any gift, and really, it is so special you could gift this by itself. It has a great message to anyone. Highly recommend as a unique gift. I bought them for my sons when they graduated and they loved them and they are something that you can save for your kids forever and they can one day look back and appreciate it over and over. The messages are cute, funny and pure, which is something we need to get back to in this life. Five stars!! Plus!! Great for any age. From grade school to college graduates. This is a great book to have and to give as a gift. I have probably given 20 away, as I give a program about the Little Golden Books. Many of us were raised on them and this book has a compilation of over 40 pictures from them, with words of wisdom and encouragement for life. Highly recommend!!!

I bought 2 of these to give to my 2 daughters for Christmas. They loved them & enjoyed their walk down memory lane as they read through the book, reminiscing all the stories I used to read them when they were younger.

I thought this book looked like it might be something fun to include in a birthday basket of assorted small gifts for a few women friends. The book has a lot of colorful, child-like illustrations and some look vintage. The captions are aimed more at adults, as expected, of course. The book is as one might expect - a fun extra gift; nothing earth shattering about the captions.

Lately, I've been building up my almost-five-year-old son's library of Little Golden Books. I had quite a collection when I was a child, but somewhere in the many moves of my childhood, my books were lost. Diane Muldrow's book could not have come out at a better time for me. I was thrilled to see that we already have the five LGBs featured in her foreword. I knew then that we were on the right track. In Everything I Need to Know I Learned From a Little Golden Book, Diane Muldrow took illustrations from classic LGBs and linked them together with some basic and good advice for life. Some of the advice is obvious, but that makes it no less sound: For example "Don't forget to enjoy your wedding". I can't count the number of recent weddings that I've attended where the bride looked like she forgot to have fun. And "Let your children know you love them". Actually, I think that is the best advice in the book. The artwork is phenomenal -- the best of the best in vintage Little Golden Book illustrations. I am happy to say that we own at least half of the books featured, and now I know which ones I need to replace.

This is a cute gift for an elderly person, it's nostalgic.

Diane brings new life to The Golden Books and brings such happiness into our lives. You can not read this book without smiling! I'm so proud one of my father's illustrations from Pantaloon is included- just in a totally different context: " Try a new look!" Highly recommended!

Perfect for my needs

Not for the grown ups,meant for kids .....a full page picture with a single line useful message written at top of page.....could be a gift for children to make them understand important life advice but definitely a strict no for grown ups !! And ya paper quality is superb!
