Received a used curling iron that doesn't work
I have used HotTools for years and love their products but will never purchase from this seller again. The curling iron arrived on time but does not work and does not appear to be new. The cord is damaged as is the barrel. Don't waste your money unless you are purchasing from another vendor.

This curling iron gets VERY VERY hot
This curling iron gets VERY VERY hot which I like when curling my Brazilian extensions, but you must use a heat protectant spray when using this curling iron to protect your hair from severe heat damage. Other than that this is great. I've had this curling iron for over 3 years and it still works great. I love it.

NO AUTOMATIC OFF
Ok, so I actually love this iron, but something happened yesterday that could have caused a horrific situation. I ALWAYS unplug my curling iron, but yesterday, I forgot. Probably the first time in my life. I didn't realize it until this morning when I went into the bathroom and saw the light was still on...and it was HOT. I cannot believe it doesn't have an automatic off switch after a certain amount of time. Total time it was cooking: roughly 23 hours. I live in an apartment complex. What if???

I had went to Sally's to buy this curling iron and I loved it would leave a shine in hair and no harm but after (ONLY) five months the handle broke off with heat! I've had this one before but not Ceramic it lasted three years! Do not get this Ceramic curling iron not strong and does start to damage hair after first month of use.
