Good price for tool and RIVUT assortment.
It works perfectly, as long as there is clearance for the length of the tool and the hole not close to a tubing side wall. Found out the hard way through experience. Comes with a big assortment of rivnut inserts both SAE (English thread) and METRIC. I had to by more 3/8 rivnuts to complete my job. I was able to install 4 camper trailer fresh water tank holding straps with brand new threads and stainless hardware using this RIVNUT installer under my camper. There was just barely enough room to use it.I installed 16 rivnuts into the locations that previously had self tapping screws that had failed and stripped 5 screws of 16 ). It took a few hours of supporting the tank, and drilling out the stripped holes, enlarging the strap holes a bit, and installing rivnuts for each strap. But the repair is excellent , and will last forever, and I can now easily remove or replace the straps with regular bolts. No more self tappers. Replacement on the tank in the future will be easier. It works great with ALUMINUM RIVNUTS, however it is VERY nard to use with 5/16 and up STEEL RINVETS. I don't recommend STEEL RIVNUTS for use with this tool, unless they are for smaller fasteners

Big help fixing missing fasteners or fabricating a panel with them.
I only used the 10-24 bit so far. I learned a big lesson and had to order a new bit. I broke the first one because I over tensioned the rivet nut. You do need to drill hole proper size and not try to over compress rivet to make up for a poor drill hole size. That was part of my problem other one is do not try to bend the metal you are riveting too because you see a bend in it before removing the tool. The bit ended up breaking off with the side ways stress.. This is a good tool and will help you do a good job once you figure out how to properly use. The instructions are way too small for a 74 year old's eyes to read, but the online video is plenty good. Its pretty quick to change size bits too.

Exactly what I needed
This is the only rivet nut tool I've ever used so I can't compare this against anything else. I'm just a guy who wanted to mount things to the legs of a table at home. Hollow square tube, thin enough gauge that self tappers wouldn't be much good. I tried to DIY the nut installation and found that too difficult. So I bought this tool based on price, reviews, and supplied tip sizes. The grease smells funny, the collar nut has some wicked burrs, and the instructions are minimal. It is perfect for my homeowner level of need especially at this price level. If you are sure that you need to use a rivet nut then just buy this tool and keep your job simple. 10/10 glad I bought this.

Excellent Customer Service! Would Recommend. Don't Stroke It Too Hard!
WOULD RECOMMEND.The fit and finish of this tool is legitimate. It looks/feels very well made. Initially I experienced a problem with the #10-32 mandrel. It snapped on the 3rd rivnut (see pics).Note: I believe this failure to be MY FAULT due to using too much pressure. I didn't set the stroke (amount/distance the rivnut would be crushed) correctly. The #10-32 rivnut is relatively small and it requires VERY LITTLE crushing pressure (a very small stroke; 3-3.5mm so I learned the hard way) to secure the nut. Because my mandrel snapped I had no choice but to switch to the M5 which is nearly identical in size (bolt diameter). The nut actually is identical in diameter/length etc to the 10-32 nut.; just the inner threads are slightly different, metric obviously. I proceeded to use the M5 with 3 to 3.5mm of stroke and the tool performed flawlessly. The was my first experience with a rivnut tool and I was surprised to learn how little crimping/crushing force is required for the nut to grip the sheet metal hole. That being said, immediately after the #10-32 mandrel snapped I contacted the seller via Amazon on a Saturday afternoon (July 18, 2020) and I received a response within a couple hours. The nice lady instantly credited/refunded me the price of a replacement mandrel and provided a link directly to the product page. I placed an order for the replacement mandrel; it will arrive tomorrow. It was unfortunate that the component broke initially but it was fortunate that I found a suitable alternative due to the many other available mandrels in the kit. It is also fortunate that the seller is so responsive. This is how you earn and keep a good reputation and is a fine example of quality customer service. Well done, service lady (who's name starts with 'M').Note to seller: The instructions included with the product are a bit weak. This is not racquetball science (yes, I said, "racquetball" science) however it was not very clear how the mandrels are inserted/removed and the importance of adjusting the stroke is not mentioned nor is it explained well how to adjust. I would suggest adding an addendum or info card to the packaging for ordinary idiots like me. Perhaps include suggested stroke values for the various rivnut sizes; especially the smaller diameters as they can be fragile. Thanks for great customer service and a quality tool.WOULD RECOMMEND.

Tool gift from the Gods!
I had to install 12 rivnuts in the bed of my Ram for a new hard top but I had no anchoring points. The new cover came with them but I had no way to install. Then this wonderful tool was delivered to my home by the gods. Soooo easy to install 12 M6 nuts and get those brackets anchored into place. I read the reviews and if you us it right you should get many years of service. You can over pinch them and somethings gonna break folks, usually the tool. Practice on a few in sheet metal so your ready to play.
