Game Boy Color - Atomic Purple (Renewed)

Gameboy is great condition.

My fiancé was scared that the sound wasn't working, but he was turning the sound wheel the wrong way. Everything worked and it was just like how my fiancé remembered his old one. Thank you for a great product! I bought the extra case separately

Ordered the Atomic Purple Game Boy Color and they sent me the solid purple one instead and it also won’t play games. (I tested the GBC cartridge I had with a GBA first to confirm it worked and then tried it on the GBC and it doesn’t work. Initiating a return because of this. If they want to send me the correct color that I ordered, they can do that, but please also ensure that it works too.

My girlfriend is a pokemon giga fan and recently bought pokemon blue. I figured I'd get her a gameboy to play it and boy was I shocked to see it looks brand new. 10/10

Reading most of the reviews here and was hoping I would be lucky overall.... The screen and case are the only things that are in excellent condition and really does look almost new. However, there is some issue with the audio as if you turn up the volume high, you do hear a feedback noise and the speak audio is not as loud as I remember. Even if you use a headphone jack, that feedback noise remains but if you put the audio mid-range it's not bad to bear. Also, one of the battery springs is clearly not cleaned, and there is also dirt or residue inside the case. I know it's an old device, but was hoping it was truly cleaned and in Excellent condition as described. I'm still happy with it and it brings back memories, but I would give it a 5 rating if it wasn't dirty on the inside. (Yes, it does work and the game has no issues playing lol)

I was very skeptical and nervous to buy a gameboy off Amazon, but this seller was more than legit. The gameboy color I received was in amazing condition. I am very grateful. I am living my childhood all over.

* The cleanliness is below expectation - there's a dirt and gunk inside the shell, the product has not been obviously cleaned from the inside, which is particularly well visible with the transparent cover. * One of the screws is corroded which may indicate damage by moisture. Nevertheless I would expect it to be replaced. * "A" button is slightly worn off, other buttons and D-pad seem to be in good condition. * Volume potentiometer is damaged - the wheel is not aligned when it rotates. But the volume control works, audio is OK. * Display is OK. * Screen cover is without any scratches (replaced, still has protective foil on it). * Shell is in quite good condition, but there are few dents and scratches. This is acceptable and expected for a 24 year old, used handheld.
