My first one was scentless, but this candle upped the sexiness ante, because it has a subtle vanilla scent. The scent doesn’t fill up the room, but if you sniff it, you can smell it. I find this candle to be romantic, which is why it is an essential piece to my home. It’s just something about turning off all the lights, playing some slow jams, and turning on this candle courtesy of a remote that puts my soul at ease; intensifying my romantic mood and ushering in a calmness.One of my favorite purchases ever!

Real wax candle looks good and fake flickering “flame” is very realistic but it constantly makes a clicking noise when the flickering piece hits the internal works—plastic on plastic clicking that is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I’ve tried tilting it and touching the flame to slow the aggressive rocking that makes it flick but there’s no way to stop it for more than a few seconds and then it starts again. The clicking sound gives it away that it’s not a real candle and it’s super annoying if you have good hearing. Cannot sit in a quiet room with it. I love the look and subtle vanilla fragrance but I cannot live with the clicking. I wouldn’t have been surprised if this happened with a cheap knock-off but did not expect such a design flaw the pricey luminara brand. Disappointed and hope seller will refund or replace. Spoke to Amazon and they are sending a replacement today, hopefully won’t click.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  If you need a moving flame effect this is the candle you’re looking for!I wanted to make a black flame candle for Halloween 2020...and I wanted it to look similar to the one in the movie Hocus Pocus. But I found that all the other LED candles without an actually MOVING flame, didn’t give the effect I was looking for.This candle’s flame is moved on what appears to be a counterweight system (I’m not an engineer or physicist at so don’t quote me). A slight, barely detectable, draft is blown upward from inside the candle, causing the “flame” wobble (giving them flickering effect). An LED light shines from inside the candle onto the flame to give the effect that the flame is illuminated.If your space is pretty quite you can hear the “flame” clicking along the sides of the opening below...it’s not something that’s mechanically wrong. It’s just unavoidable when it comes to something that moves in a small space. The only way to not get this clicking, would be to make the hole larger...which at that point to realism is lost.Altogether, this is my top choice for a realistic LED flame candle.

Yes, this is a genuine Luminara product.There are several here on Amazon and on ebay which claim to be but are not.Very pleased with this one.

I’ve purchased several Luminara candles and this is the first set that I’ve come across that make an annoying clicking sound when turned on. I have four other luminaria candles on in my house at the same time that these are on and none of them make that noise. Just these three. Not something I am interested in overlooking when I am paying this price.

These are beautiful and bright and safe. I love these. I don't use the remote. If you have a bunch it gets too confusing. The timer is great. Unless you were right on top of it you wouldn't be able to tell it was not a real flame. That and it doesn't melt. :)

Love these candles! They take 2 C batteries which is very different from the others I have had. Will see how long they last. Unfortunately, less than a year after purchasing 8 of these 3 are not longer working. Not sure what went wrong but after spending more than $30 on each one I thought they would last a long time. I bought the Luminara because I figured they would be more reliable than the off brands.

In the day, you can tell that it is not a real candle.. but at night.. This looks like a legitimate flame. Honest!!!! so pretty that it is a sloping top, and real wax.. definitely worth the extra money..I buy these instead of small lights.. I come home at night and it is already "lit" so pretty in a nice candle holder
