40-45ft chassis
This is a plastic model that you will have to assemble. It has the expandable lengths for a 40-45ft ho scale containers. It has good detail it is 1/87 HO scale. It was a challenge for me cause the pieces are small. If you are an older person like my self, I shake and my eye site is not like it used to be. Buy one already done. I enjoy building models but the small little pieces are a challenge now.

Cheap and brittle
Could not even sand away small sprue artifacts without breaking the thin and brittle pieces. Instructions are very poor. After assembling many, many Walthers kits, this is the first one that wound up in the trash can. A better choice IMO is to purchase Walthers assembled chassis models in the blister packs for just a few more dollars that are available in various container lengths.

Not the same as 15 years ago.
Different from when they first came out. Molding is sloppier, a lot of flash. Plastic is more brittle, breaks easily in multiple places. Still having to add details to make them look more authentic. Still for the $ I can make these work mush better at multiple applications for modeling intermodal service.

Cheap plastic, Breaks Easily and is Hard to put together.
This is a kit which is very hard to put together. The plastic is cheap and breaks easily. Parts are small and hard to work with. The instructions are not clear and unlike most models it is not easy to tell how the pieces are supposed to line up. The axles don't go through the holes they are supposed and pieces came off when attempting to do this. The first trailer still is not finished and may never be. Don't know if I will ever try the second. Wish I had tried to return this during the return window, now it is too late. Don't buy. I finally found some pre-assembled models which will replace these.

A little challenging
This model has a lot of small parts so can be a bit challenging. You think a container chassis not much to it but that's not the case. I didn't use the extended feature my chassis' are 40ft. You do get 2 chassis' in one pack which is great
