Refreshing as it is Inspiring
I love my modern conveniences and admit that I need to consume less and conserve more. Urban living makes that pretty hard to do, but watching a film like this helps me rethink my priorities and strengthen my commitment to being a more mindful consumer. Just looking at my closet overstuffed with clothes and shoes that I had thoughtlessly acquired pre-COVID made me think how ridiculous modern lifestyle could be. And here I am on Amazon seeing the ads on some of the products I've browsed or bought. Next piece of clothing I buy will be a Patagonia; fully supporting the company's environmental cause.

You can do it. Quit your job.
I watch this film over and over. Probably once or twice a month at least. After about a year, I'm happy to say I quit my job to go after the things that are really important to me. I'm not able to take six months to go to Patagonia right now, but this film inspires me to live in the moment, and to charge hard at the things that are important. There's a lot of themes packed in there, and every time I watch I get a different message. The most important message to me is that on the surface, climbing and surfing and sailing and traveling might be "useless" activities that in and of themselves don't contribute anything to the world - but they make us better people, and focus our attention on our place in the world and the simultaneous tiny footprint we have as individuals as well as our collective enormous impact as a species.I love this film.

Excellent and inspiring!
An inspiring film of beautiful cinematography, story and unique individuals. We all should be so lucky to spend what time we have on Earth as these folks have.

Great adventure and great challenges
I thought this documentary was awesome. It makes you want to immediately turn off the T.V. and find adventure for yourself in a far off land you've never been to. I think they did a wonderful job of explaining environmental challenges associated with some of the worlds most "wild" and remote places. It is sad to think that so many of these amazing places are now gone due to urban sprawl and other types of development. Though there is no fix-all for this type of loss, the documentary really gets you thinking about your personal "footprint" and what you can do to reduce it. I would recommend this documentary to anyone interested in adventure, climbing, surfing, traveling, the environment, and the human footprint. It really is a great documentary that gets you thinking.
