Batchelors Cup a Soup Creamy Potato & Leek 107g

I bought a huge variety of cup-o-soups for work and this one is my personal favorite. Thick and hearty with a nice potato and onion flavor. Not too salty and can be easily sipped or eaten with a spoon. I will be re-purchasing.

Tastes good, fills an empty spot and warming. Just right to tide one over between meals or add a sandwich for a more filling meal.There are four soup packets in a box. Empty packet in a mug, add eight to ten ounces of hot water and stir from the bottom to dissolve all.

This is addicting for me. I could drink four cups, the number of packages in a box. However, when I did just that, I had 'issues' as I am lactose intolerant but one or two cups are fine. It works out to $1.00 a cup. It's a product of Ireland & vegetarian. This is the only time I have had package damage. This is the reason for 4 stars otherwise, absolutely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

I'm surprised that this soup received so many good reviews. It's not good. The texture reminds me of the instant mashed potatoes my mother used to sometimes make on a busy work night when I was a kid, except less flavorful and much more watery. I could see feeding this to someone in the hospital who cannot eat solids but needs something a little thicker than just broth.I think Bear Creek makes a better soup that is more flavorful and not a weird texture.

I was excited to try this brand of instant soup, which was new to me. I had no expectations, as this was an imported brand of instant soup. Well, I tried it. My best description of this soup is "meh". It's not bad, but it's not great. I wouldn't buy it again, because life is too short to waste on food that just tastes "meh" when there are much better tasting soups out there.
