Great replacement!
The original wall clock mechanism stopped working. This replaced it perfectly. There were no instructions on how to put the hands and second hand on it but I had taken pictures of the old one as I took it apart.I refreshed the arms with a permanent marker, wiped the clock face and it looks brand new and works beautifully.

Works well as a replacement for our old M2188 clock module
Or kitchen clock was losing more and more time. I finally decided to replace it. The old clock module had the party number M2188 listed in it. This appeared to be the closest in size and shape. Worked great -for once a 10 minute project that took 10 minutes!Interestingly the second hand on this module is a sweep hand - it appears to move continuously where the old one did the once per second kerchunk.

Quartz clock movement
Seems to work fine here at the beginning. Time will tell if it continues to work. Drawback on this movement was it DID NOT come with the nut to hold movement to the clock.

Worked at first
Stopped working about two days after I got it into the clock. The problem is the second hand won't move or spin around the dial from the 8 to 12 position. Thus time freezes. My guess is that a gear inside the motor is slipping, but this is only a guess. Would not buy again.

Smart
We have bought two of these motors now. It is much cheaper than buying a new clock. Replaced the motor in two clocks at different times and they are still working. Would buy again.

A small price to pay to keep a clock I've had for years.
I bought this to replace the motor on a clock I've had in storage for years and was too fond of to toss into trash.I measured the casing and the stem (the part that goes through the face, that the hands attach to) very carefully and this popped right into place. I wanted to reuse the original hands to keep the clock looking the same, and while I was concerned about them fitting, I took the chance on this model, because it didn't come with its own hands. I figured I could exchange it if they were incompatible, but it seems that the threads are standardized so the whole replacement took less than 20 minutes, including the time It took me to turn the battery around to put it in the proper direction.A small price to pay to keep a clock I've had for years.

Hands don't fit.
Even though I measured the best I could to make sure this clock movement was the same as my broken unit, the hands do not fit. I guess I was thinking there would be a some type of standard so the parts would be universal, but not so. Therefore I am unable to give a full evaluation of this clock movement.

Easy to change
We've had a clock for more than 2 years that stopped working. We thought it would be more complicated to fix it. This was literally as easy as popping out the old mechanism and popping this one in. So far it's been working
