Best hat for beachcombers!
My go-to sun hat! The quality is fantastic—durable, lightweight, and well-made. I love that it’s waterproof, so it handles ocean spray or sweaty hikes with no problem. It gives full coverage to keep my face shaded from the sun. I’ll definitely be buying it again and again!

Great item!
I really like these hats as they keep the sun off of your face. I don't like to wear sun screen so I wear one of these hatsinstead.

Very Good Sun Protection With Some Drawbacks
The wide brim on this hat provides excellent sun protection. I use it when gardening or working around the house and I appreciate the shade this thing throws. The wide brim also helps with Deer Flies, which we have a lot of this time of year. I think the brim confuses them and they don't know where to land. With all this said, this hat does have its deficiencies. First, the sizing material used for keeping the brim stiff digs into my forehead. This occurs despite the fact my hat size is at the lower limit of the product size specification (58 cm). The internal head band material doesn't seem to provide enough cushion to alleviate the pressure. When wearing the hat for extended periods it becomes somewhat uncomfortable. I would imagine this to be a more significant problem if one's head size approaches the upper circumference specification (60 cm). It is important to note that if your head's circumference is less than 58 cm this hat will not fit you. The drawstring mechanism will not pull the hat tighter than it's minimum inside brim dimension (58 cm). If your head/hat size is like mine, you will find the hat to be loose fitting.Additionally, the internal head band material does not appear to have much capability to absorb perspiration. Unlike my Columbia Booney Hat, for instance, I find perspiration running down my face in no time with this hat. I would recommend to the manufacture of this hat to beef up the head band material to alleviate this problem and the issue with pressure points. In summary, if you're looking for a hat that will throw a lot of shade, this hat is for you. It may not be your most comfortable hat however.

Shade and Comfort overall 3.5/5
The media could not be loaded. In the quest to find the perfect sun protection solution for my wife, who has fair skin and a low tolerance for the sun's rays, we decided to try the Wide Brim Sun Hat with UPF 50+ protection. This hat promised to shield her from harmful UV rays and offer comfort without the need for multiple layers. Here's our take on its performance and how it stands up to its claims.Optimal Sun Protection with StyleThe primary draw of this hat is its wide brim, designed to offer extensive shade and protect against sun exposure. The UPF 50+ rating ensures it blocks harmful UV radiation, making it an excellent choice for anyone needing extra protection. This feature has made it a valuable addition to our outdoor gear, especially considering my wife's susceptibility to sunburn.Flexible Design with DrawbacksWhile the flexible brim adds practicality, allowing for easy packing and adjustment, it has its downsides. The flexibility means that the brim can occasionally flop into the face, which can be a nuisance in various outdoor activities. Moreover, the wide brim's design makes it susceptible to being caught by the wind, posing a risk of it being blown off unless the chin strap is securely tightened—a measure that, ironically, can feel somewhat constricting.Durability ConcernsDespite its waterproof claim, the hat's grommets have shown signs of rusting after exposure to moisture, casting doubt on its long-term resilience and waterproof capabilities. The addition of mesh around the band, while enhancing breathability, raises questions about its ability to protect against external moisture fully. This aspect remains untested in the rain, leaving some uncertainty about its effectiveness in wet conditions.Adjustability and ComfortOn a positive note, the hat's adjustability is a significant advantage, making it suitable for different head sizes and ensuring a comfortable fit. The breathable design is another plus, helping mitigate some discomfort associated with wearing hats in hot weather. Despite its imperfections, these features have contributed to my wife's overall satisfaction with the hat.Final VerdictThe Wide Brim Sun Hat-UPF 50+ stands out for its adequate sun protection and adjustable, breathable design. While it excels in providing shade and comfort, potential buyers should be aware of its flexibility-related drawbacks and durability concerns. Despite these issues, my wife appreciates the hat's intended purpose—offering protection and comfort in the sun. It's a worthwhile consideration for those seeking substantial sun protection. Still, it's advisable to weigh the benefits against the minor inconveniences and durability questions. Our experience suggests a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars, acknowledging its strengths while recognizing areas for improvement.

Husband loves it!
My husband has a gigantic head, where it's basically impossible to find a fitting hat for them. This hat actually fits their head rather nicely, and the adjustable rubber band makes it such that they can also wear it on our daily bike rides! The super wide brim also makes them very cool on sunny days and covers their face during most times of the day.I will say that for the shipment, the hat will come curved, but you can actually press it flat like you would press a seam when you're working on a sewing project. However, please keep in mind that this is polyester or synthetic fabric, and please use a protective fabric before blasting it with a crap ton of steam. I accidentally melted the fabric on one tiny spot. It's not a big deal, but please keep that in mind. Look up how to press a seam, grab an iron, a cotton fabric, and an ironing board, and you should be good to go!

Large size not large enough.
The hat has great coverage but is not comfortable for my husband. He is wearing another hat under it. The discomfort is between the brim and cap. Cap is large but too smug at the brim for his head to fit inside the cap.
