They're door handles, I'm not sure what there is to say. Good quality and the spring gives a nice reassuring clunk when you close the door. The lock mechanism is smooth. Very happy with these.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Look good and fit well

I haveI have 4 PROs and 5 CONs. I am covering the most important points first in case my review gets truncated. All the PROs and CON 2 are based on my opinion and experience not any factual findings; I offer no evidence in support. CON 1 is a ‘show stopper’ and renders the handles, as received, to be ‘NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE’: The axis of the spindle is angled approximately 3.5° downward, from being perpendicular to the mounting plane. This means that fixing a handle to one side of a door puts the handle for the other side, ~7° from lying flat. (Been there, done that.) CON 2:- Although based only on my opinion, I consider this to be my most important comment from a safety point of view and in that it is not feasible to rectify it; the return springs are very much stronger than required for a satisfactory function; it will need a firm grip and a strong arm to overcome two of them. A young child or any weak person might be unable to open the door and could be trapped and unable to escape an emergency. CON 3:- The bosses of both the levers, and the spring anchor post of one handle, protrude beyond the base planes of the bodies of each handle such that they will not lie stably on a flat surface. CON 4:- The keyholes are 3mm out of alignment with my lock. [Detailed version: I measure the distance between the centreline axes of the lever spindle and the key hole to be ~ 2+1/8” (54mm) but for my good quality 5 lever lock it is 2 ¼” (57mm).] CON 5:- The mounting screw holes are sized at 4mm dia. But it is worth putting a 4mm drill through them all to clear probable flash left by the casting process in manufacture. PROs 1 & 2:- I chose to order these handles because, they are just wide enough to cover the ‘footprint’ of my older handles and because their few mm of extra length put the fixing screw holes a precious margin away from the original holes. PRO 3:- I rate the quality of the finish as excellent. PRO 4:- I consider the visual style to be neat, simple and modern without being ‘fashion’ sensitive.

Quality product

Bought to replace a similar style, but failed pair on an external garage side door. Maybe not the best choice for the original 10 year old ones. The spring and other steel parts inside the one on the outside of the door, were all rusted away. Being exposed to the elements was probably too much for it. However, when fitting these replacement handles, the internal mechanism on both of them, was generously daubed with grease. So far so good.

Delivered on time by a pleasant delivery man very well packed everything there screws metal bar etc Installed on door next day works fine no problems will recommend

The handles looked ok when opening the box. Really easy to install...then it goes down hill from there... Fitted the first one and it snapped/sheared off at the lever within being in use twice. Looking at the back of the handle where is sheared off there is stress marks in the material. The second handle lasted a whole 48hrs after installation. At exactly the same point as the first one it sheared off and the same stress marks. They are made from a cheap material and dont appear to have been quality checked prior to sale. Save your money and time do not buy.
