File Bar Factory Replacement Aeron Seat Pan (A)

I somehow inherited a Herman Miller Aeron (I NEVER would have bought one for myself). About 9 years into my ownership, the seat cracked. Full confession: I’m 6’5’ and 250 pounds on a light day; I’m not nine to my chair. I was worried I’d have to replace the chair (once you go Aeron, it’s tough to go back). But this seat replacement was a breeze to install and it matches so well you can’t tell there are two different vintages in my chair. Oh, one more thing... I didn’t know what size chair I had, but the awesome lady at Herman Miller customer service told me to check for the little dots behind the top of the seat-back. Anyway, feel back there and you’ll see what I mean.

I've had my Aeron for 21 years, and its seat pan had become shredded on one side. This seat pan is total legitski Herman Miller, and it is very strong and comfortable. Took about an hour to replace, but I took time to vacuum off the underside while I had it apart. My chair is now ready to carry me through 2040. Great seat pan, looks and feels like new, perfect color match. Just buy it. You don't get a pan this good for cheap, for shizzle.

This fit my Aeron size C, and was easy to install. There is a significant difference in the elasticity of my older back panel versus the new seat pan. Definitely feels like a brand new OEM part. I would buy again without question. Time to consider upgrading or refreshing my other parts. 20 year old chair feels new!

Fits perfectly on my Aeron B chair. Instructions, however seemed to be for a slightly different model; alternatively, they were poorly written. Anyhow I got installed correctly and all is well. I advise anyone considering this to have some experience and skill with mechanical things.Delivered in a timely manner, adequately packaged.

Th seat pan on my late 90s Aeron had been shredded for a decade. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new pan. 4 allen wrench screws and the the seat was changed. Super easy. Its like a brand new chair. The seat is nice and stiff. The seat did creak a bit but spraying some WD-40 at the mounting points solved it immediately

Okay, so I guess I've put on some weight - but who woulda thunk the original seat would crack almost in two? Granted, it's over a decade old. Not wanting to pitch the whole chair, I am delighted that this replacement was available. Rather pricey, but better than epoxy and a hope.

Great replacement part, comes with both the pan (frame) and the webbing, so it's a good deal. Looks just like the original, webbing was taut and firm.

My chair is like NEW. As expensive as this chair was to begin with, I was thrilled the seat could be replaced!
