This also allowed my husband to sleep comfortably without running into the cushion
I bought this cushion because it was on of the few that was not too thick. However it is way too big for me and our bed (27 inches long). It butts up against my husband's side of the bed (Queen size). I had to cut it in half to use it so my arms could lay flat in my bed. Otherwise my arms were elevated at an odd angle and my shoulders were stressed. This also allowed my husband to sleep comfortably without running into the cushion. The foam is great and I am liking the cut in half version.

memory products are ok.
I gave a 3-star rating because I could not use the pillow. I had spinal surgery and the pillow did not provide adequate support. I would tell family and friends to try it. It may work for someone else. If not satisfied, the seller would work with purchaser for a return.

The cover is nice quality washable velour
I must admit I took a chance when ordering this pillow/cushion. After reading the posted reviews, especially the negative ones, I was not quite sure what I would receive. It arrived quickly, within a week, and is basically as advertised and pictured... basically. The biggest difference is the size. It is advertised as 20" x 11" x 1", but actually measures 27" x 13" x 2.5". Not a problem for me, but may be for some. Also, some had remarked on the quality of the foam and the pillow cover. The foam is dense polyurethane memory foam with plenty of support, and is shaped as pictured. The cover is nice quality washable velour, like other quality pillow covers. No complaints there. Basically a nice quality piece, but beware of the size discrepancy.

NOT as advertised
Pros: - I was able to return it.Cons: - not as pictured; looked more like a flat trapizoid shape, barely over an inch thick.- "sherpa" cover was more like very cheap polyester velour.- If this thing is actually memory foam, it's non-dense, like good ol' cheap foam rubber.- Costs more than twice as much as similar and far superior pillows. When I took this piece of junk out of the box, I thought it must be air-sealed, and would expand. It didn't; stays flat as a pancake. The cover was a thin & sleazy fabric; "sherpa" is a joke. This was seriously the most misrepresented product I've ever ordered from Amazon. It did absolutely nothing to support my back; it does NOT arch like the photo. Taking it out of the box was like a bad practical joke. If I could, I would rate this item with negative stars.

The latest is putting this pillow mid-back while sitting in my favorite recliner. This keeps my spine comfortably straight and .
When I first took this pillow from the box I was shocked. What a thin pillow! Thank God I didn't return it as I planned to, because it turned out to be a miracle for me. I suffer so much from neck and back pain. When I finally got around to trying it out of desperation, I found various ways to use it that work wonders for me. The latest is putting this pillow mid-back while sitting in my favorite recliner. This keeps my spine comfortably straight and helps to keep my hiatal hernia from acting up. Also, I sometimes lie on it length-wise under my spine from shoulders down to small of back which stretches and straightens my spine in a comfortable way. I am going to order another ASAP because I am afraid I will never find this pillow again. I also use it other ways. I could go on and on but I won't. Very versatile. The foam it is made from seems to be very good quality. It is thin but it holds its shape while remaining comfortable. Thank you pillow maker wherever you are!

Good lumbar support while sleeping
I've just had this for about a week and so far it seems to be what I've needed to support my lumbar area while sleeping. What is great about it is that it is thin enough to add a little support without stretching the back too much. It is also the full width of my side of the bed which allows me to sleep on either side or my back and leave the pillow in place without having to reposition it. The one issue I have is that the fabric cover makes it difficult to turn over as it sticks a bit to pajamas. Might be better with a silky cover to allow easier turning while sleeping. For clarification, I use this pillow under my lower back with the widest portion of the pillow perpendicular to my body.I think it could really also help people with mattresses that might feel a bit too firm and cause pressure point pain on hips or shoulders. In that case a couple of these pillows could be a big help.Shipping was super fast also!

We like it anyway
I appreciate all the other reviews of this product and it is true the one I received does not really look like the picture...and yes, calling the cover "sherpa" is more than a stretch. Actually we are ridiculous pillow collectors here, constantly trying to find relief for myriad body ailments all in search of a decent night's sleep. This pillow is a keeper for us. We use it in combination with others and in non-standard ways. It is a versatile piece and welcome addition at our house.
