If you are looking for a plethora of info…this book has it!
In the back of the book is every book, newsletter, and website you could ever need! This is actually the second one I bought! I got it as a gift for my brother-in-law in Nigeria.

Great book!
I have a book by Klober that pages are falling out of. This book will be similar, reading it’s sections repeatedly

did not apply to me
It went into types of pigs.. and electric fences not much about pen size or feeding.. the home processing was helpful.. I am a small time low budget person... wanted more information about feed and how big pens and to make cheaply.. I ended up using wooden pallets... dug down 6``.. and they were free.. starting saving old food from markets.. and bought a freezer.. and am growing a lot of the food..

Not all inclusive
If this is the only book you buy, it's helpful. For me, I already had the most useful information available in this book from others I already own that provided much more. It's difficult to determine which book to buy when you're shopping on-line and can't look through the whole book. That's why I own way more than I need for just 4 pigs.

Raising pigs?
Are you considering raising some butcher pigs? This book gave me some amazing insight as to what I am going to be getting myself into. This book goes through raising, penning, breeds, medicating, butchering, you name it the book makes at least some mention of it. If you are considering or have some pigs I think this book would be great addition to your library.

This is the best book I've read for getting started with keeping pigs
This is the best book I've read for getting started with keeping pigs, and I plan to pass along copies to anyone I know who's wondering how to begin. It goes into enough depth to be helpful, but covers a lot of ground, and is full of reasonable advice that both informs and reassures.

The other white meat
Incredibly informative. Gave me the answers that I needed...which was all of them as I have had little background experence with pork on the hoof.

Where's the pork?
The book was far too basic and I was expecting much more information. The slaughtering section was disheartening: I know that slaughtering a pig is difficult, but how can an author direct the reader to Youtube rather than provide details that should be specifically and fully addressed in a book such as this. Very disappointing and not worth the money or time.
