This is a must read for anyone prepping for a job interview, regardless of past experience. As a manager who has sat on both sides of the interview desk many times I am impressed with Briggson's sound advice delivered in a thorough, yet simplistic manner. The material is presented in a logical sequence starting with 50 essential tips covering aspects such as prior research of the interviewer, personal preparation and conveying confidence during the interview. He explains why each of these tips is important to a successful interview and gives specific examples. Part 2 of the book presents 100 common interview questions with analysis and specific on-target example responses. Just as important as the suggested responses are the specific warnings on what to avoid. An example is the question, "Why are you leaving your current position?" Briggson correctly points out that the candidate should respond in a positive way, such as focusing on the opportunities of the new position rather than attacking the negative aspects of the old position. His analysis of each question accurately reveals the interviewer's perspective and the objective he is trying to achieve. The interviewer is often times simply trying to assess the candidate's character and ambition. I have interviewed many candidates that were clearly not properly prepared and would have had a much better chance at the position if they had followed the advice of this book. "Ace Your Job Interview Questions" will give any candidate the confidence he or she needs for a successful interview.

This book is a must read for all anyone who is young and just looking for their first job, a recent college graduate, looking for a career change and even for stay at home mom's like me who have been out of the work force for awhile. Excellent book!!!
