There might be no better book available on the market for SAT math subject ...
There might be no better book available on the market for SAT math subject test, but there are too many mistakes in this book considering it is the 12th edition. I only looked in some detail on two or three topics my child needed reinforcement, and found many grave mistakes. For example, example (H) on p124 is incorrect since that range of the function is all whole numbers 0, 1, 2, ... by considering x in [-1, 0); example (D) on p146 is completely wrong with x-axis and meaning of the polar coordinate theta confused; examples (F) and (G) on p192 are also incorrect when Y is used, which not only made an easy problem to look more complicated but the math is wrong by using Y (using only A and B is the mathematical and elegant way all standard books on probability do).For future edition, I suggest hiring someone with a degree in pure mathematics to check the book in detail (not someone with degree in math-education with less rigorous training/experience in mathematics). This way, both mistakes can be minimized and improvements can be madeon how to present the material more mathematically/elegantly.

The Best Book Out There for Those Seeking a High (700+) Score on the Math 2 Exam.
I am a Harvard graduate, SAT perfect scorer and professional test-prep tutor with 18 years of experience, and this is my go-to preparation book for the Math 2 SAT Subject Test.Of course, you should also buy the Official Guide, which includes 4 real tests with answer explanations and scoring curves: The Official SAT Subject Test in Mathematics Level 2 Study Guide This book includes 7 mock practice tests, including the diagnostic test, along with answer explanations, as well as an in-depth review of the many concepts that are required understanding for the Math 2 SAT Subject Test, and practice questions ("exercises") that pertain to each lesson. It's also affordable, and the questions are high-level difficulty...which might be a tad unrealistic compared to the actual test, but which provides excellent preparation for the many advanced high-school math topics (up to Pre-Calculus) that might show up on the Math 2 test, such as Functions, Polynomials, Logarithms, Polar Coordinates, Complex Numbers, Vectors, Matrices, etc.Are the questions perfect? No. Are the answer explanations perfect? No, not even close. But it's the best, most rigorous practice for the Math 2 exam, and includes plenty of helpful math strategy.Best of luck with your preparation! Please leave any comments or questions below--I will be sure to respond.

Great Textbook, but should also buy alongside Princeton Review's book
Great textbook, though I would recommend buying this as well as Princeton Review's textbook for the SAT Math II. This book has many practice tests which is very helpful to get yourself acquainted with the formatting of the actual SAT Exam. However, the chapters are quite short because they do not go into much explanation into the topics, which is why I would recommend pairing this with Princeton Review's books as supplementary just in case you do not quite understand the topics in the Barron's book. I have yet to get my test scores back, but this book really helped me to feel confident and prepared for the actual exam.

Much harder than the test--Our kid got 800
This book had our kid in tears two days before the test. She did badly on one of the practice tests and panicked. She thought she'd flunk. She thought she was stupid. She thought she shouldn't even bother. She wanted to give up...she scored an 800!This book is quite a bit harder than the test, which is a good way of studying. Just keep that in mind and you'll do great. Do the work, get through it, and the test should go well.

3.5 stars if I could
The actual test doesn’t have this many different topics on it. I think I spent too much time on the topics I didn’t know much about when I should’ve been reviewing more familiar stuff. If I had to do this again, I would probably try a different book, but this one does have lots of practice tests. Also this book is very graphing calculator reliant. Some of the explanations for practice test answers were basically “put in it your graphing calculator.” Still giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because the book does state they assume you’re gonna use a graphing calculator, the practice tests are good and a little harder than the actual test, and there are lots of topics to review. Just realize it will be very hard to learn anything new from this book as it is only good for review. If you find a subject you don’t understand in here, you will have to research it elsewhere.

Forgets Derivatives, But Otherwise Great
Good product, but it never mentions derivatives, which are VERY important during the exam. Also, you do not need to memorize the geometric area equations the book claims you do (they are provided in each question). Got an 800, but had to take the test multiple times.

This is a fantastic book! I bought it and my score improved tremendously. The practice tests are considerably harder than the actual Math 2 so this helps you a lot. If you score above a 780 on these you'll get an 800 on the real deal. I know this because I got a 700 the first practice test. By the time I was done with the book I scored a 800 and took the real deal and received an 800.This book also has many concepts that are very useful. You can review material.

Not what you expect but works
Barron tends to be harsher in the textbooks. The details go in depth, but you may need some base knowledge ( whether its currently taking the class or just knowing some things already). All the practice questions are REALLY tough and I doubt you will see them on the actual test, but they help you learn the topic to a greater level because it forces you to think and actually understand the concepts.TLDR: Its harder than the test, helped me jump from 690 to 770, and I didn't even understand half of the book.

Useless
I would not recommend this book to any student out there. Such a hard book. Some may say it over-prepares you but I dont think thats an accurate description. The questions in this are so hard and different to the actual ones that even if you manage to get ±700 in this book's practice tests, you wont even be able to get 650 in the actual thing cause the questions are so different in the actual one. Go for collegeboards own book, its much better.

Good if you math background is pretty good
More difficult than Princeton Review and the actual SAT Math 2 test. If you don't have a good background, the explanation in this book may be harder, in the case of which you should start with Princeton Review. On the contrary, if your math background is pretty solid, you can go straight to this Barron review book.

Nice but space for improvement
I got 750 out of 800, may be they could add some more topics which could cover those 50 points I missed. Like - coordinate geometry in case of rhombus. And heart of algebra.
